Next up……….Jacksonville Jags 11/2
Plenty of threads discussing blowing everything up and venting after Sundays disaster. As I type this we have 13 days to get that out of our system before we play our next game. Raiders are physically and mentally limping right now but hopefully Bowers and others will be healed and rested for Jax. Jax is coming off a bye week as well so both teams will be rested and presumably prepared. Discuss

Pete: "Communication is automatic with guys you have a background with."
Pete confirmed it. Lockett might lead the team in catches or at minimum be second.

This right here. Geno is Pete's ride or die for at the very least, this season and I would bet he starts next year regardless of what we do at qb in the offseasonFLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 5:31 pm He is just now back at practice. Honestly I don't see Pete benching Geno anyways

Bet what? I got $10,000 silver dollars (or more) that Geno does not start for the Raiders Week 1 next year. Or if you want to do real money we can do that too.Hellbound wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 4:50 am This right here. Yeah, by now there's usually hype building around QBs who look to be taken in the top 5 and it's usually whittled down to two or three guys. Last year it was Cam Ward and Deion's son. Also, there were only three QBs taken in the first two rounds last year.rcraider wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 6:28 pm I don't see QB in the cards with a high pick, we should be able to shore up the trenches and get a good O line or DT in the 1st. But honestly except for tight end and maybe RB this team has holes everywhere, BPA works
This year doesn't look to be much better. We need OT and G in the worst way AND we need a mauler who can actually play center. That's just the O-line.
Build the team until hopefully we land a star QB someday.

Who's the would be free agent that would be signed next year? I don't see the Colts moving off of Jones. That leaves Russell Wilson, Rodgers, Pickett and Mariotta as the best of the rest in free agency. I don't see Pete moving off of Smith for any of those guys. Tua if he's cut? One is already on the roster and he hasn't started him yetBoKnows81 wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 4:59 am Bet what? Who knows on draft prospects but all the top guys look like garbage or not close to being ready for the big league
The trade route? Who's going to give up on a young(er) potential franchise qb? Mac Jones? Winston? A reclamation project like Levis?
Any other names or realistic options to throw out there? None of those names off the top of my head inspire much confidence. The only difference between some of those names and Geno is that they're younger. To me that's not a huge deal. It doesn't mean that they're going to improve. This is why I don't see him moving off of Geno. Will some competition be brought in? Sure, but I'd be surprised if Geno was benched or cut this year or next barring injury of course

With AC back, maybe we can trade pickett to a desperate team like Cinci if Flaco is hurt.

No team in their right mind would trade for any of our QBs and if they want to? We should do it yesterday.Nor_Cal_Raider wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 7:58 am With AC back, maybe we can trade pickett to a desperate team like Cinci if Flaco is hurt.

Here’s just one perspective on the ESPN analyst trade scenario involving Tua and the Raiders. It sounds ridiculous at first but when you read the into the logic behind it, it’s not completely ridiculous.Hellbound wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 7:26 am Who's the would be free agent that would be signed next year? Basically they’re saying Raiders should send a 5th for Tua and two 2nd round picks from the Dolphins and in exchange Raiders help Fins out the Tua’s contract. Sounds like Raiders, with all the cap space in 2026-2027, would be adding two 2nd round picks and get an equal or slightly better QB prospect than Geno in the process.

Garbage. Dude is one concussion away from being in a mental hospital. Not to mention he's probably only a cunt hair better than Geno. Shit like this is why the Raiders remain trash.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 3:22 am Here’s just one perspective on the ESPN analyst trade scenario involving Tua and the Raiders. Who else remembers Tank for Tua?ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 3:22 am Here’s just one perspective on the ESPN analyst trade scenario involving Tua and the Raiders. It sounds ridiculous at first but when you read the into the logic behind it, it’s not completely ridiculous.

I'd take the two picks but wouldn't want anything to do with his contract. Tua sucks as bad as Geno. That's why I don't think Pete moves off of Geno. There's no clear upgrade that realistically is going to come here. Everyone says to cut Geno but fails to put any logic behind it. Don't get me wrong, he could be cut tomorrow and I'd be packing his bags for him. I just don't see any logic behind it. Pete isn't going to cut him just to make a lateral at best move. He'll he just signed a scab wr to help prop up his hand picked qbALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 3:22 am Here’s just one perspective on the ESPN analyst trade scenario involving Tua and the Raiders. Remember last year when Jones was cut, he had his choice of teams and would've probably had a starting gig if he chose this team. He instead opted to be a backup in Minnesota. That's how we are viewed by players with options
