That was f[raiders_icon]cked up.

The Titans game will probably be the last win on our schedule.

No sense in beating a dead interception machine, so I won't.

There were some positives in this game. The D bailed held Chicago to 13 points off 4 turnovers.

The O-line finally looked good. Of course, now it looks like Miller's injured. But for today, they have something to feel good about. They also kept pressure off that guy who suited up to play quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders today.

Jeanty had a breakout game. Three TDs and what, 150 rushing? Awesome to see.

People are down on the coaching, but I thought that overall it was pretty damn good. I do take exception to the third down play right before the FG attempt, BUT the coaching staff clearly did not trust the guy who put on a quarterback's uniform to not throw or pick or not take a sack, so they had that guy hand the ball off to Jeanty, so I can't be too critical of that call.

Nah! Cam Ward will have his best game of the year when he plays the Raiders.

Here is a sobering thought as the slide to oblivion continues:
1960–1985 → 19/26 seasons winning (~73%).
1986–2025 → 9/40 seasons winning (~22%).

I stand by my contention that in the case of the Raiders we can pinpoint the exact date it all started to unravel, slowly at first. We didn't know it at the time but 11-30-86 vs the Eagles losing 33 to 27 marked the end of the glory years.

Oh! I remember that game vividly. Marcus Allen fumbled in FG range and Andre Waters took the fumble back to around the two yard line. Randall Cunningham QB sneaked it in and the downward spiral started.

Are we really still talking about Carrbage here? Whataboutism for 2 bad qbs is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. We need to draft qbs in rounds 1-3 every season until one hits.

Agreed. I've been saying that very thing for a while now.

Most QBs will fail in the NFL for any number of reasons. The optimal strategy to mitigate that is to draft a QB high every 1-3 years until you hit. I also think it makes sense to draft a QB late rounds 5-7. Think about those late round guys. In most cases they are special teams players so allocating a pick to QB isn't really a waste considering the importance of QB. And if you do get lucky? You're not likely to get a round 6 Pick 199, those only come around next to never really but a Brock Purdy? Better than what have had at QB since Gannon.

There is no other position in sports that matters more.

So what do the Raiders do? Either go with retread vets or give "Boy Wonder" the reigns for nearly 10 years, pay him like an elite QB and get non-elite play. But hey, at least he holds all the "All Time Raiders QB records!!!!!"



In either case the Raiders looked at the sub-optimal choice. Repeatedly and said "hold my beer."

Defense played a great game. Maxx was great! Even Wilson got a sack. Didn’t have that one on my BINGO card.
Jeanty finally had his break out game!
Losing Miller dooms this team (as if it wasn’t bad enough) to a max of 4 wins (if they’re lucky.
Why is Beck invisible?
I’m excited to see Geno break the INT record and finally topple Jameis Winston with 30+ ints.

To be honest I hadn't thought much about that game until my son became an Eagles fan. I didn't remember the exact date but I did remember the fumble as Allen was and still is my favorite Raider player.

3 wins is all I see for this team. I don't even know what to say.

I agree 100%. Unreal that this franchise is still too scared to draft a 1st rounder since ‘07. It’s almost like Big Al made that his final dying wish to Turnip. The time to move this franchise into the modern age with a billionaire owner or billionaire conglomerate is long overdue.
