What would it take to get Parsons and would it be worth it. Personally, I think a line with Maxx and Parsons would be criminal..Somebody run the numbers..

Wouldn't even come close to getting it done. To begin with, Koonce played good in a handful of games two yrs ago. That's not even close to the production Parsons has had. Just two picks isn't getting it done either

It will take 2 1s plus more.

Koonce would not replace Parson but be a serviceable body. Add the picks I mentioned and the key is Dallas wont have to pay the huge contract.

Its an offer, maybe Jerry gets tired of the drama and bites.

lot's of teams can swing him, cap management is not an issue. It is the actual compensation that is the issue. Multiple picks including at least 2 one's is the real issue.

It's a suckers deal and the league is getting better at noticing it.

Well true for 31 teams but there will be a team that pays up. My bet is the Cowboys but there may be a team that offers up multiple picks and then signs him to a deal to make up for the picks costs. That is the problem, you pony up three PREMIUM picks but then he has you by the balls. You have to give up the contract where he has all the power. You do not give up 2 first and at least another pick without making sure you lock him up. And that is where the real bite comes in. You have to make sure you get his services long enough to offset the original costs. How long did the Bears keep Mack? Three years is the answer and they got almost nothing for him. A second rounder and a used dishwasher. It is a tricky thing giving up bigtime picks for a guy knowing you also have to get the contract that makes up for the cost.

He owns the market unless he resigns with the Cowboys and his agent knows it. He is getting paid, regardless. The only question is if the cowboys are getting paid or not.

It's not a suckers deal for the Cowboys. They just have to pay, if their cap affords it, seems like they've been putting out a lot of money for players.

So do most teams if they are willing to do it over a couple years. It is not the picks alone, it is cost in terms of what you give up over the years vs what you can keep to use over the years. You are merely mentioning what is available. I am talking the costs over time. Are the Browns in a win now mode, are they a win over a couple years mode? If they feel the answer is yes, then by all means. But the smart money says they are not. They have a bandaid at the QB position with a couple possible answers over time but there are serious questions regarding those possible answers.

Just having the picks does not mean they are for sale.

Leaving QB's out, what was the last trade where 2+ first rounders were given for that player and that player was worth every bit given?

If you’re on the cusp then it’s worth moving the draft capital if you can get Parsons. Imagine one of the top few AFC teams adding him, it could make one of 3 or 4 teams the instant conference favourites (assuming they wouldn’t be crazy about him in the NFC). Having said that, I still think Dallas signs him to the biggest defensive deal ever.

Yeah it's just not worth it to us. I'm sure there will be no interest shown. I don't see him leaving the Cowboys
