No, just calling out your stupidity though it seems as though you have already done a good job of establishing that around here.

I think we can be competitive provided some things are cleaned up. It's a silly cliche but it applies. This group needs to learn how to win. Today was a step in the right direction.

You can argue semantics to feel like you "won" all you want (you didn't).

End of the day Thornton is a rookie. You're grasping at straws to defend a QB who is averaging more than an interception a game.
This discussion is about Thornton. YOU are trying to make it about Geno.

I’m not interested in talking about Geno - there’s much more to speak on with this team, but I get it, it’s easy to just talk about the QB and keep the discussion shallow and unrewarding. I’m not interested.

My brother and I were talking about the same thing on the golf course today. It's just dumb little things that keep teams from winning/being competetive. We have talent.... enough to be at least an 8 win team, IMO. The problem is we seem to lack the coaching necesarry to bring out that competetiveness...... and a QB that doesn't throw at least two ints a game.

How do you know Thorton didn't run his route wrong and that Geno was throwing it where he should have been. Might have been a rookie mistake, but he did something wrong to get pulled for the rest of the game.

It's a win, we were fortunate! Titans D with two Raiders style critical penalties to extend drives to touchdowns that should have been field goal attempts. 14 points which should have been a max 6. A little bit of luck always helps. Raiders D front? dominating, best game all year. Hating to be negative the Raiders D backfield is still the land of missed tackles and, questionable coverage. Pressure on the QB saved their bacon. No comment this week on the O line, don't want to be repetitive. It was a much-needed victory and yes, the competition has more problems than we do. Let's take it and go take down KC next week!

It was an option route. Thorton settled on the curl to give Tre Tucker the 1v1. Geno stared it down, so the outside corner comes down. At that point, throw the ball away or pay attention to the db who just ran away from Tucker and hit him. 99% of QB's make that play to Tucker.

Whether or not you believe your receiver should have ran a different route is irrelevant once there is a wide open WR waiting for the ball to take it to the house.

Broncos-Titans score

20-12
They aren't. They almost lost to the real worst team in the league today. The Jets.

Yep. There is nothing wrong with a QB being a game manager. I never understood why it is seen in a negative context.

Bob Griese was a game manager. He is in the HOF as he should be.

Geno has the tools on offense with Mayer, Bowers and Jeanty.-even Tre Tucker. Kelly needs to game plan so Geno is managing those tools effectively. As Tom Flores used to tell the team-Let's not try to out fancy them.

Avoid turnovers and mistakes, do not burn out the defense. Ward made a lot of mistakes today and the defense let him.

That is all very achievable for this team. It's a start.

We don't have talent at the most important position in all of sports. And in today's game, you can't win without it. We went 4-13 last year and i said from the go that Geno maybe gets us one more win. That's 5-12. Truthfully, I don't even see that now.

Thornton is very raw. Fast and big. But very raw. And really not a natural hands catcher. Will he develop? Idk. He could end up as a Jett or an alvis whitted. But he's not ready right now

DHB wasn't a hands catcher either. He basically ended up just being a decoy.
