The NFL Conference Champs Game Day Thread (AKA The Raiders Coach Game)

Unread post by Attyla »

Here it is fellas, the final game before the big game. Who you got, what is ideal for the Raiders and are there free agents playing that you like for us next year. Popcorn at the ready, beer in your hand. I have some Blue Moon on hand. What are you making to enjoy the game? I am making a simple chicken and rice. Weather here is horrible so I Amazon Fresh'd my menu for the week so that I did not have to rush to the store. Ah the joy of winter.

I guess I will go with:
Pats vs Rams for the final game. But anyone other than the Broncos is absolutely fine. I like Stafford, I don't mind Maye. Vrabel getting a crack at another ring after TN dumped him would be justice in my mind for that bitch Amy Adams. And yea, everyone I know around here hates that....female body part....lol

The Seahawks really don't have a weakness. The Pats Oline pass blocking just isn't up to par. Both QB's can make mouth breather mistakes but I imagine Darnold plays better due to his supporting cast. Oh, I'm glad the Broncos lost. fck those guys
You under estimate the Pats...their D is spot on they have beat all the #1 D's in the league already lol

That's what I'm saying though! They have a legit front 7 for sure. It'll be a good test for the Seahawks ground game. Drake Maye is a hell of a quarterback as well. He's got a lot of talent. Pats lucked out getting him 3rd overall

Oh, I totally agree but they’re still gonna get their ass handed to them.

Sam Darnold is proof that it's the team and staff that fails the QB, not the quarterback himself. The grand majority of first round QBs are talented enough to win with.

They didn’t beat the the Texans D, Stroud played like Geno and threw three picks - or was it 4, one of which was a pic 6—The Texans offense lost that game. Donks would have beat them today if they had Nix, plus Payton is an idiot and didn’t know the weather report going for it on 4th down instead of going up 10-0. Patriots has 80 some yards vs the Donks defense in the 1st half. Where is the Pats signature win vs a solid team in all phases? They haven't faced a team like the Seahawks on a neutral field with no key injuries where weather shouldn’t be a factor..

The spread is favoring the Seahawks by 4.5. If I were a betting man, I’d give the Pats 2 more and lay the $$ at 6.5..

It’s going to be like 30 to 6 by the 3rd quarter and Pats might get a junk score or 2. Seattle will keep pouring it on because its a SB so mid 40s to maybe 20..Seahawks easy

I would like to see Tom Brady call the Raiders games, that would be pretty cool and at times hilarious.

Thought about this further so it should help, just my driveway:

1 foot of snow (rounding as the snowfall was likely higher)
Driveway: 115 feet long by 20 feet wide that’s 2600
Cubic feet of snow or for those landscaper types
85 cubic yards.

Now here is where it gets interesting, where @chucker lives it’s likely far more, as he noted 29 feet on average. All snow is not the same and he lives near a ski resort its likely that light fluffy stuff.

Us? It’s that heavy moisture laden stuff. Average snow is about 15-20 lbs per cubic feet. The heavy, moisture laden + lake effect snow? Heavy is 20-30 lbs per cubic foot. Our snow is “wet”, Lake Ontario hasn’t frozen in recorded history (it came close a few years back when the rest of the Great Lakes did). It’s like a sponge and when it snows it ejects it into the snow. We do have the light fluffy stuff but not as common in January and February.

In total, plowing out my driveway is the equivalent of moving 34-46,000 lbs of snow on the low side or 46-69,000 on the high side.

Hence why you can’t wait until the end.

That would be all kinds of awesome, neighbors might give odd looks though, trendy to borrow it knowing mine.

We got ice. about an inch of it. you cannot just scrape that away, way too labor intensive. That is why I employ a different approach. I wait until the sun does the work while I stay in my warm house. It takes longer, but we are also at over 1200 days without a workplace accident. That is well above the industry standard.
