Yup. It really feels special to be here today as a Raider fan. We deserve something special after decades of suffering.

Most important hire we have left. That and the d-coordinator.

I won’t believe in the offense until a #1 receiver is had

Bowers does not count. He’s not running routes every single pass play, so that in itself is a schematic limitation.

You need someone on the outside that has to be accounted for each snap.

So we’re getting:
1.Head Coach that just won a SB as an OC.
2. Potentially staff from same team.
2 QB that won Heisman and National Championship.

Has this sort of same season combo ever happened? Because I feel like I’m dreaming for those kinds of stars to align.

Is anyone else ecstatic we missed on Ben? I’d rather have a humble Kubiak over a coach ripping his shirt off and yelling f[raiders_icon]ck the other team.

Bowers can run routes every pass play, all we need to do is get a pure pass blocking TE. And no, you don't "need" someone on the outside that has to be accounted for each snap. This is an over simplified view of a pass offense. What you need is to maximize the offense with the personnel you have. Thornton will be covered every play he is out there. Same with Bech and on down the receiving corps. It is up to Kubiak and his OC to create mismatches and for a rookie QB that does start with your RBs and TEs. That is how it has been and how it will be.

I'm actually surprised it's a controversial opinion that we need a #1. Especially after seeing the all-world combo of Andy Reid/Mahomes struggle with just Kelce as their lone offensive weapon. Luckily we do have the previous investment of Thornton and Bech who I'm still hopeful for, but until we have confirmed compliments to Bowers it seems obvious to me that this offense is far from complete and we will continue to add talent to it.

2027 draft may be when they get that number 1 WR. If as many qbs are taken at the top of the draft as is being speculated I could see a WR like Jeremiah Smith falling down the board further than he should.
