Every team has that corner who cant cover and a #1 would put pressure on defenses and open things up for the offense. Add 2 #2s and we'd be really cooking.
The second progression would be to another #1 pass catcher. The 2s can be development draft picks, Tucker or Bech. Add Mayer who has underneath possession hands and a run game to that.

They need a 1 and I would spend money there and sign a stud.
I wouldn't spend a high draft pick on a WR at this point in the offensive build and hope he develops. Let's come out firing.

We have a #1 pass catcher. That will not change no matter who we bring in.

Problem is the only legit #1 guy I see out there is Pickens and he has a lot of baggage.

If you squint Mike Evans could be I guess.

Or you could make a move for Tyree Hill or AJ Brown I suppose.

I am hesitant about a FA WR. I'd rather see the team grow up together. Possibly next year, if Mendo has established himself as a leader we could go for one. It's more than a one year rebuild.

stat wise yes Brock should lead the team but as stated well by Raiders Baby, when thier in 12 13 or even 22 it would be nice to have a 1WR outside who can beat coverages.
Agree its not a absolute necessary and a 2 outside would be fine for now in this first year of installing the offense but eventually would need an upgrade here bringing the O to yet another level.

I think Pierce as a mid range 1 at 18M per would be a great fit. Great hands, can take the top off and run the entire route tree.

As far as APs stats as a 1, yes underwhelming, and the Raiders are built in fashion of the Colts with Tyler Warren TE gettingmost of the looks, Pierce #1WR, Jonathan Taylor RB, and a better oline. What the Colts need is better QB play and maybe a better scheme.
We hope the latter is incoming for us along with better oline play.

I know it is not a huge deal probably, but the fact Kubiak coached from the sidelines and not the booth makes me feel more comfortable about his transition to head coach.

I had not thought of that, but it's a fair point. I'd say it's significant.

Seems as good a place as any. A little hype video for the new look incoming. Yes it’s most certainly full of kool aid but fun to watch

Klint was a safety at Colorado State. He's probably got a good mind for coverages and the defense in general. To be an offensive genius raised up around offensive genius people who played defensive back is a great combination

Veteran UFA #1 WR’s offer poor value in free agency. These guys expect to be paid based on their prime years when they are on the decline.

Agree. Draft skill positions, sign players in the trenches.

Raiders axe a good deal of their coaching staff. I wonder if this mean Kubiak has put together his staff already.
