I agree with you. That's why I thought there was a possibility it might not have been so much in fun and more a message to say "you have nothing to celebrate." Either way, it's weird.

Potentially allotting ~17% of the entire salary cap to Wilkins next season is a nauseating thought. $50.8M in dead cap to one player, if these numbers are correct. Let’s hope the Raiders have a rock solid reason for terminating the guaranteed money.

I dont remember seeing anything about this kind of prior behavior on any threads about Wilkins, I would have never wanted him here if I knew he was a weirdo. We had just gotten done with the Chandler Jones craziness.

Gotta remember when the raiders signed Wilkins; he was only 27 or 28….guy was in his prime…

Non injury he would have been a dominant DT for the Raiders right now and for his weirdness; would we really be complaining if he was playing at a pro bowl level….

If he doesn't get injured this is a non story. He would still be a top tier DL in his prime and we never hear any of this. We all knew of his history
