Kubiak will call the plays while Janocko learns why the plays are called such as they are; and he may get a chance during one of our blowouts but not right away.

So QB coach to offensive coordinator is a leap in itself and running an offense from the QBs eyes is the ideal hire for OC imo.

He needs time to learn to coordinate the entire offense before he calls plays if ever. Kubiak is a HC who calls his own plays.

You do realize the QB coach has headphones during the game and is not only hearing what is going on but can also contribute, right?? Janocko is not a babe in the woods and he got the job because he has been working with OC's ever since he started coaching. He will be a significant voice during the games

Well duh no kidding. It doesn't change the fact that hes a 1st year offensive coordinator either. What's your point?
A QB coach has no say in the play calling. He listened and now he'll have a voice.

I wouldn't get too worked up looking at titles on a staff. There's a lot of collaboration and it's based on what a guy can contribute (in practice and on gameday), rather than some words on an org chart. Kubiak will call plays, but many play callers will call what key assistants suggest in the moment - especially if that guy is up in the booth and has a different view and sees different opportunities.

This is exactly what my point was. The guy calling in the play is not necessarily the guy who chose the play. A QB coach on a team is a significant voice as it should be. So the jump to OC, especially in a passing league, is not all that great. Will Janocko be successful? Who knows but it won't be because he does not know his stuff if he is not.
