Let's get this shit over with and get to rebuilding my team properly. Oh and there is a game today as well.

I don't know why the Seahawks would let him go but I'd love to get Durde for DC.Viper wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:04 pm Seattle is a really well coached team all around. We are fortunate to get one of them.
No doubt there's something to be said for making it to the big show your first year as a HC of a team...something we will never say lolBlackShield wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:03 pm patriots did a total turnaround this year. they have a lot to be proud of. there is a certain offensive coordinator on that team that my good wishes do not extend to, however
I think they were a bit of a fraud. Easy 4th place schedule. In playoffs, got the Chargers and Texans at home and then Nix broke his ankle. I think they fall back a bit next year.BlackShield wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:03 pm patriots did a total turnaround this year. they have a lot to be proud of. there is a certain offensive coordinator on that team that my good wishes do not extend to, however

We could always pull the assistant head coach title…I think that may be a loophole..but I’m not a hundred on that without researchingchucker wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:06 pm I don't know why the Seahawks would let him go but I'd love to get Durde for DC.

nah, you take what's in front of you. patriots took care of business this year, big game notwithstanding. vrabel changed the culture in one season. a lot of other teams had easy games on schedule that they did not win [raiders several times, anyone?]...have to give credit where credit is due.Raider_Dave wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:07 pm I think they were a bit of a fraud. I agree they had an easier road, but having Drake will give them a chance. Picked the wrong Sunday to have a bad game but he’s a good Qb.Raider_Dave wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:07 pm I think they were a bit of a fraud. Easy 4th place schedule. would that be considered a lateral? i think durde stays another season, if seattle keeps it up on d next year he'll get that mcdonald shine and be considered for a hc job the year afterchucker wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:06 pm I don't know why the Seahawks would let him go but I'd love to get Durde for DC.
It is definitely not a loophole. The Seahawks can block anything other than hiring him for head coach if they want to. Some teams will allow a guy to move anyway if they're going to move to being the lead guy on one side of the ball after being under a head coach on that side of the ball. Some won't - Shanahan said no with Klay Kubiak in SFHesterLayes wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:07 pm We could always pull the assistant head coach title…I think that may be a loophole..but I’m not a hundred on that without researching
So just adjust Leslie Frazier assistant head coach title to something else and name this guy assistant HC?chucker wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 7:12 pm It is definitely not a loophole.
