The 49ers sure looked bad vs. the Broncos, and they are supposed to be much better than their poor showing last season. For us, the offensive line seems to be rising to the top of concerns.

The first play was a 30 yard completion. I think the real explosion lies in the starters. Oconnel doesn’t have the arm strength to flick it 30.

You can’t gauge points per game when the 1st string comes out halfway in the 2nd half. They put up 10 points today in their brief time on the field today. Defenses tend to break down in the 2nd half when they have to stop a bruising running game, which can open up scoring opportunities late in the game. Some of the guys in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the last two games wont even be on the team next week.

In 3 years there's rarely a returning CB or Saftey.
They let Moehrig walk and traded Bennett. They released Brown, from NE i think, and have failed to draft or aquire a 3T of value and someone opposite Maxx. The Raiders have drafted 4 or 6 DTs i. n the last 3 years and how many are any good? This years drafties get a pass.

LB? Pfft

They may give up 30 a game and I dont think the offense are good enough to overcome that for more than 2-4 wins God forbid someone goes down.

They ran it 2x in a row at the goal line and thats encouraging. I like that Geno drives the ball and doesn't throw rainbows like Carr.

My take is the O looks serviceable, but the D is lacking Talent behind the D line in a bad way...none of our LB's can tackle or cover for shit, and the corners are suspect at best, and with that said our most glaring problem is we have zero depth at any position, but other than that it's all good We let most of our best D players walk for what ever reason from last year, but hey we have a lot of CAP space lol

Our best D players walk directly into another team’s 3rd-string for a season and into a Costco to start bagging groceries the next.

Almost seems like I closed my eyes, and it was last season all over again. It's only the pre-season but the defense against the pass is still pathetic. The D backs gave up yards in chunks! Niner QB's easily escaped the rush, receivers wide open---big problem! AS far as O, Pass blocking needs to improve rushers still coming in un-touched and PLEASE! --- cut out the bonehead penalties that stall drives.
