It's preseason game one, so I don't take it all that seriously EXCEPT the dismal run blocking. 2.6 per carry sure sounds painfully familiar. I noticed early on that we were going pass heavy, which also gave off the stank of last season.

We'll see. The idea of putting our 1st round pick in such a bad position is worrisome.

Yeah exactly..it’s his 1st game and you run him ito a meat grinder..flashes of DMAC, run 5 times up the back of the guard and then break one for 50 yards. They could have thrown Jeanty back in the game in th 2nd or 3rd quarter to get some yard so the stupid reporter could write something spicy. IMO They played Jeanty a few downs not to get him injured and just get used to the speed of the game. They plan on using him as the work horse so he's not playing much in the preseason

I agree.

I do want to see an improved effort next game however.

It starts with the next practice.

Kelly scripted those plays to start the 3rd, he was efficient, majority were 10-15 yard routes. I would bet Kelly made sure Olson showed AOC photos of the receivers he missed in the 1st half.

God I know it's just preseason, but you'd at least expect to see some flashes of improvement under Carroll. Like better physicality, play recognition, higher IQ, etc...

#79 Laki Tasi. Yes it was against the 2s and 3s but he was mauling pancaking pushing the DL like he has been playing football his whole life.

You can't judge this team with AOC as the QB. Cement shoes isn't the guy.

Sorry to all the O'Connell fans out there but Miller is the real deal. He needs reps but I am planting my flag now that he is the next generation of Raiders QBs. In two years we will forget O'Connell was ever on the team.

Pretty entertaining 2nd half. Hopefully not being able to run the ball and not being able to stop the run will be a wake-up call.

I agree. O'Connell is an ok backup. But Miller definitely showed more promise of the future

-I am worried about both lines. They did not look good. We had some of our starting OL in the 2nd half of the game. I liked that they got extra time, I just did not like the results.
