XRF, I usually agree with you but the bird against your fans is total disrespect.Xramfan wrote: Thu Nov 27, 2025 1:13 pm I don’t disagree with a word you said…….but I just can’t get myself worked up over it lol. It’s just “the bird”

Total disrespect to the fans is what Mark trots out on the field year after year.Oaktownonly wrote: Thu Nov 27, 2025 3:11 pm XRF, I usually agree with you but the bird against your fans is total disrespect.

Giving up a #3 (which will be a high #3) and that huge contract for Smith could go down as a top three worst trade in Raiders history. A giant miscalculation by Carroll and Spytek that will hurt for a while.
Our draft seemed good to me when it happened but so far looks really bad in reality. Another season like this could make me consider quitting on this team. I have one foot out of the circle already.

It does kind of sting that they gave up a 3rd round pick when better QB’s were available in free agency but Pete wanted his guy. I can’t stand watching this guy play QB for the Raiders but at the same time I understand it’s necessary to secure a top 3 pick as the Raiders won’t win another game with him starting. He’s just so terrible.

Yeah. As much as everyone seems to be outraged by it, some fans get way too out of line. No matter how poorly the guy's played, you don't hurl personal insults, wish horrible things on him, and then yell those things at him. It's also a pussy thing to do because the asshole doing the yelling knows that the player can't do anything about it. I don't care if the guy's making league minimum or $40 million per year, it's not on him to make fans act like decent human beings.Xramfan wrote: Thu Nov 27, 2025 11:56 am Again I dislike Geno as our QB and wish to never see him after this season but I just can’t get that upset or excited about “the bird”. I’ve got grey in my beard so maybe it’s just me and the era I grew in…….

The #3 was already spent: It was the third-round pick we got from the Jets in exchange for Davante Adams.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 4:46 am Giving up a #3 (which will be a high #3) and that huge contract for Smith could go down as a top three worst trade in Raiders history. The 2026 third-rounder is still ours.
As for the draft: it's hard to judge the quality of players the coaching staff won't play because they're trying to "win now."

Reminds me when I went to a game with my dad and fans were booing a player after a bad play. He said to me,”Nobody should boo a player that makes a mistake or error. The only player deserving of being booed is if the player stops trying and no longer hustles.”Opoponax50 wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 6:48 am Yeah. i think anyone would've struggled behind that offensive line, and by the sounds of it the mess with the coaching.
genos thousand yard stare instills zero confidence, credit him though for not feigning an injury to sit this one out.
the seasons been a trainwreck for everyone involved.

Well...He has been taking a beating, some of it is on him some of it on the OL. But I have yet to have seen Geno deliberately throw the football into the dirt on 4th down when we are playing from behind in a one score game.Xramfan wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 9:13 am Reminds me when I went to a game with my dad and fans were booing a player after a bad play. You can't quit if you never started.ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 5:24 pm Well...He has been taking a beating, some of it is on him some of it on the OL.
