We can trade Aidan to Cleveland for a 4th in 27. They are implementing that 4 QB offense and the only QB type they are missing is the immobile type.

Aidan will fill out their QB room perfectly.

If he can compete for a roster spot maybe he will settle into this role nicely. Having a young veteran backup QB really brings the QB room full circle. If anything O'Connell has always been a company man and done what is asked with him without rocking the boat.

The only drama ever associated with Aidan is on this forum and not in the locker room. Role players are important.

I don't think anyone on this forum dislikes AO12 as a person.... he's a good young man from everytjhing I've seen and read. He just isn't any better than a QB3/clip board holder. I wish him nothing but the best..... if it's here or somewhere else.

There is no rush on this. His contract has no big hit to us if we cut him, just the prorated signing bonus. 127K would be the hit and that is peanuts honestly. If he beats out cheaper guys, that is no real big deal although 3.8M for a third stringer is way high against the market. His value is what he does in the QB room and on the sidelines with Mendoza. But Cousins likely has that covered so I would not be surprised if he is moved nor really that surprised if he is not.

Idc if he stays or goes but this current staff/fo didn't draft him and if one of the qbs they grabbed shows even an inkling of promise, they will 100% keep the guy they took over O'Connell. Especially when he's a much cheaper option going forward

Agreed, they pulled the trigger on Tyree without hesitation, and did not bother with White and let his ass walk. They are building their team and to hell with the players that don't measure up. O'Connell might be next but again, there is no rush.
