Raiders hired former Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz as their passing game coordinator.

Holz returns to where he started as an NFL coach. He was Titans OC for two years before Brian Callahan’s regime went down, and also has passing game coordinator experience with the Jaguars in 2023.

Holz…

His scheme emphasis tends to be pass-oriented with attention to spacing, timing, and giving receivers opportunities to make plays—a natural extension of his background working on the passing game and with wide receivers.

Holz talks about officers that emphasize effort, speed, detail, and execution, and collaborating with players to tailor the system around their strengths rather than a rigid scheme; he emphasizes relationship-building and empowering players to do their job within the system.

2009–2011 – Andrew Luck (Stanford)
2012–2013 – Carson Palmer (Raiders)
2014–2021 – Cur (Raiders)
2022 - Doug Brumfield (UNLV)
2023 – Trevor Lawrence (Jaguars)
2024–2025 – Will Levis (Titans)
2025 – Cam Ward (Titans)

So Holz worked with McCoy in Tennessee last year. I wonder if he will also be the QB Coach.

Maybe..... most teams have separate positions for each these days. I'm probably drinking too much koolaid, but it feels like Kubiak might be a guy that other teams look to poach assistants from to be their OC. This is a good move for Holz IMO - an opportunity to learn.

Is it possible to have TOO many coaches? At some point will the players look around and see 50 coaches and say "yeah brah, I play, you don't, buzz off?"

Seems as though Klint has the usual amount of coaches on staff. One of the guts will probably get qb coach added to his title or he'll unofficially be assigned the responsibility
