Time to relax and enjoy one last look at the future.

The Raiders need to get that ground game rolling. Good play caller/scheme & get the oline squared away. Ashton Jeanty is a star. He's an absolute stud at running back. No reason going forward the Raiders can't have a great ground game

So pleased for Mendoza who whilst didn't have a similar stat line to the Oregon match, he displayed his intangible qualities of mental toughness and fortitude which was absolutely personified in that 4th down 12 yard TD and for Hoosier fans, that iconic stretch over the line.

He's everything you want in a franchise QB and he's going to lead us to eventual glory i'm sure of it!

On another note, should we dispense of Crosby in the off season then I sincerely hope we are looking at Akheem Mesidor - might be on the older side come the draft but would be a smart addition.

The non call that stands out to me. Was the first quarter when the defensive player launched crown of helmet right under Mendoza's chin. The play that gave him some blood. And yet no call. Mendoza is definitely tough

OK so if we are being honest, he did not have the best game. But that is part of football. The Miami defense has one of college football's best defenses and one of those defensive linemen will be drafted top 5. And they brought everything they could right at Mendoza. And how he responded just solidifies in my mind the potential he brings to the Raiders. Yes, there was no quit in him. We make that out to be some great football trait. It is not. Guys don't quit when it comes to championship football. But what he did do was he created. The moment was not too big for him and he stayed focused on what it was going to take to stay in the game. He never pressed. He followed the program that got him to the biggest game of his career and that is what leaders do. And that is what you got to see, a leader leading his team.

That is what you want.

Mendoza did catch a beating (Miami planned this the entire time). He proved he is not a pussy for sure. Those quick releases and working his progressions a few times were things of beauty. He clearly has to be coached up in regards to pocket awareness (shades of Aidan).

I couldn’t help but think of the Raiders since Gannon. The best we’ve been since those days was Beck’s game. What we’ve wished for since those days was Mendoza’s game.

It must be that baby face of his that throws you off. He plays tough as nails and is completely f[raiders_icon]cking unflappable. Miami looked so big and mean, but when Mendoza took that run to the house, he was not to be denied.

I can watch that shit over and over again.

I'm pretty sure that was never accurate. I think someone misunderstood a report about meeting with candidates and it turned into a game of telephone that Renz bought into with another of his useless "reports".

Davis at the game? Sure. Spytek at the game. Yes. A scout or two, I assume so. Bunch of coaches from various teams we are interviewing for the job. No. McDaniel in the suite? Highly doubtful.

It make s for a good story, but other than us looking at our rookie, no way in hell we are going to have candidates trying to one up each other in some kind of scheme circle jerk.
