^^^ I agree with this take. Yes, we need some work on both sides of the line but drafting linemen early in the draft has as much risk as graft a QB early.

And if we do take Mendoza 1st it doesn't necessarilly mean that we have to start in game 1 next year. If at all possible, let him learn new system and take some snaps during practice and bring him along gradually instead of just throwing him to the dogs in a starting role in our very first game and simply hoping for the best.

I’m not saying we don’t need a Qb, because we do. In fact I’m all for getting Mendoza and I agree, let him sit a year or at least a partial year. I just want us to focus on building a bully line on both sides. Seems we are consistently towards the bottom in sacks allowed while averaging some of the worst rushing yards per game.
Geno ain’t it, use first pick on a Qb and go get at least 3 young Richie Incognitos, either through the draft or FA.

And I think it’s time to cash in on whatever Maxx will fetch.

Gotta have a “franchise” QB, gotta have a solid OL. Getting a franchise QB at the peak of his powers doesn’t happen. Getting an All Pro T or G at the peak of his powers is once in a blue moon.

Having said all that, if Nostradamus whispers in your ear that THAT QB, and THAT OLineman will both have 15 year careers as Top 10 performers at their positions and you can only choose one, well, you choose the QB every time.

That group was awesome; they were the best in the business ….surprised they never got back together for another album…think it was more to do with that Ginger Baker and EC just did not get along….

Yup, I agree on all points, and concerning Maxx, I think it is very possible that while the Raiders may not actively "shop him", it's safe to say that the Raiders will receive a lot of interest from other teams and the Raiders would be foolish not to at least listen to those offers. Paring him with Bosa in SF would be a good fit and make things really tough for opposing offenses.

Obviously, we are in great shape salary cap-wise, so we can surely fill at least 1 hole in our OL via the FA route if not through the draft. I like Gennings Dunker out of Iowa but he will likely be gone by the time our 2nd round pick comes around unless we trade back up into the first round again. He's viewed as a "plug and play" OLman.

Same can be said for the OL...our pass rush leaves a lot to be desired to say the least but if we can draft or acquire a DL lineman or 2 to improve pressure on QBs, in turn, that will instantly make our DBs jobs much easier.

Ginger Baker didn't get along with Jack Bruce either, although I'm not sure that was what caused Cream to break up.

I like the idea of drafting Mendoza/Moore and trading up into late r1 for Lomu.

That was a part in it. Clapton wanted to persue a more blues oriented sound and that was the major reason.

Been to many concerts when I was younger. Never thought I’d say this but I went to see Elton John about 6-7 years ago and I can honestly say it was the best.

Get that QB on a rookie contract and build from there. Rome was not built in a day. Having a franchise QB on a rookie deal is still the best way to build a team. If you do not try, you will never get one. I would rather swing and miss on a QB than not try at all.

Yea, I've come to appreciate music I hated when I was younger. The older I get the more I seem to like stuff I never did before. As they say... youth is wasted on the young.

In my early early years from grade school to junior high I was into Deep Purple, Stones, Montrose.......then in HS I went full blown country fk in the 80`s. In my early adult years and since, I went Ozzy, Sabbath, GnR, Maiden, etc.

Today I can appreciate all including some funk Tower of Power, Jazz.....almost anything except hip hop/rap or growler as those never grabbed me

We need this loss badly
