Bosa has an ACL - trade Maxx to the 49ers?

Someone posted in a thread after our loss that we should trade Maxx Crosby for a bunch of (needed) draft picks, thereby increasing our odds of picking at or near the top of the draft in 2026. As we all know, the 49ers just lost a key player on their defense -- after Fred Warner he is their most important defensive player -- and their d-line is not that deep and full of young players. And, the 49ers are in first place in the NFC West and will likely be battling for a playoff spot this season.

At first blush, I am against trading the best player we have drafted in what 25 years. But, in my frustration with the whole damn thing, I am thinking about this. The trade deadline is early November, so you likely will want to see if Carroll and staff can get this bad act together, but unless we start looking a lot better, there will be talk of trades and even, gasp, "tanking." Thoughts?

Dunno man, I see value in the rah rah stuff and to be quite honest, while Maxx got paid and such, you can see that he plays for more than just the cash. Passion can be infectious and one guy can change the entire culture.

The only thing that is infectious my friend is winning.

I saw JPJ on a trade big board at number 10 with potential suitors being Houston and Cleveland for a 4th rounder. Now I’m sure there’s no actual basis to this but if that happens with how bad our line is I want an honest answer from someone with the Raiders as to why they hate the guy.

Didn't most if not all media pundits say Pete would at least install a "culture" here? This thing couldn't have gone more sideways if they tried. This is when i revert back to thinking this franchise is cursed.

You gotta imagine that losing is a lot of it but nobody can be happy with an offense like we just threw out there. When KC taps the brakes on you during a game vs the Raiders at home, you know you are a shit show.

Hearing more chatter that the meeting did in fact happen and all parties were in agreement that Maxx is not getting traded. This meeting took place yesterday per what I am hearing.

I didn't know Crosby possibly being traded was a thing until today. Thought the team would win more games/ be much improved but I was clearly overly optimistic. I like Crosby especially as a guy who is the embodiment of what it use to mean to be a Raider. But, I know this is a controversial opinion, I wouldn't mind them trading him for the right compensation.

Bradley Chubb and Von Miller weren't premier pass rushers? Miller himself helped the Rams win a super bowl that year.

LOL, I specifically stated "when they were traded". Miller was 32 when he was traded, and not the player he was when he was a premier pass rusher. Chubb had a premier rookie season, but hasn't produced anything close to that since. Neither was premier when they were traded.

And Mack was better in his prime then Maxx is now which is why he went for two fcking 1sts and why i left him off.

Again, LOL. Only you would think it is valid to leave him off the list when he was a premier pass rusher, but include him when he was no longer that player. I'm sure that makes sense to you, but anyone with any critical thinking skills understands that you left him off because it didn't fit your narrative.

Mack was in the same tier then as Parsons, Watt and Garrett are now. And Maxx is not.

Your precious Maxx isn't worth two 1sts. I know you like to stalk my posts but you should do some research before you open your mouth.

a) I never said he was worth that - I was just calling you out for using lame comparisons.
b) I'm not a huge Maxx guy. He's probably the best player on the roster, but they could trade away the entire roster for all I care.
