agree, tyree in all his time with the raiders hasn't improved on anything, still has only one move bullrush, must be a blockhead to not learn new moves with mad max in the house and willing to teach

Scouting Report: Summary
Crawford's transition from basketball court to football field makes his developmental arc unlike most prospects in this class. He's only been playing organized football for five years, yet he's already producing at the SEC level against premier competition. That trajectory matters when projecting his ceiling, because he's clearly not close to a finished product. The physical tools are legitimate: the burst, the bend, the lateral quickness to threaten blockers with an outside rush. What's missing is the veteran polish that comes from years of repetitions against high-level competition.

The NFL fit that makes the most sense involves a 3-4 scheme where Crawford can operate as a designated rush outside linebacker on passing downs while his run defense fundamentals continue to develop. Defensive coordinators who can isolate him in favorable matchups and let him pin his ears back will get the most out of his athletic profile early in his career. The coverage experience from Auburn's "Buck" role adds some flexibility, though expecting him to handle complex zone responsibilities immediately seems overly ambitious. He's best suited to be a complementary piece initially, someone who can rotate in on obvious passing situations and provide juice off the edge.

There's genuine upside here if you buy into the projection. Crawford got noticeably better from his first year at Auburn to his second, and there's no reason to think that growth has plateaued. His work ethic and competitive makeup have earned praise from those who've watched him closely, and the mental edge he brings to the field is apparent on film. He'll need patient coaching and a defined role to start, but the bet on Crawford is a bet on continued development from a player who's proven he can climb the learning curve quickly.

Ya got Maxx in one side and OLB speed edge rushers on the other in Koonce and Crawford.

Crawford didn't jump out to me initially, but I can't help but be optimistic the more I learn about him. He seems to be making big strides after starting his football career in Senior year of HS. Barely played ball but he's trending up big time.

Then you look at the tape and hear what folks say about him, and you see a guy with a motor. Maybe a guy who can learn a thing or two from Maxx.

Watching his highlights, I’m not sure I can properly judge his speed. Looks like it’s on fast forward. Hell, after watching Wilson the last coupl’a years, I wasn’t sure you were even allowed to rush the passer from the right side.

Edit: Another thing I really like, if or when he overpursues, he keeps f[raiders_icon]cking going. Plays to after the whistle’s echo. f[raiders_icon]cking Wilson pretty much stopped when his bull-rush didn’t work. Mercy that dude was such a disappointment and f’n depressing to watch.

He's got some stuff to clean up. Not going to be a day one lightening rod but he has some really good things he does. I am not a huge fan of some of his angles and he is not always in good position. But his wrap up is solid and his motor is great. I think I said similar of Maxx when he played his first year or two.

Yeah, the guy is a ball hawk...and I agree, it's hard to believe just how fast he is...quite a motor.
