I'd argue removing a head coach of a competitive team mid season has disastrous consequences, the ripple effects of which can last for years. I didn't want Gruden 2.0 but I think some folks say ridiculous shit because they want to pound their chest and say they were right. I agree that removing a head coach over a controversial series of events is not a good thing. I would further argue that until the court case is in session that we still do not know who leaked the emails. So until we know that, the person who tanked our season is also unknown. Hackers hack email servers all the time. I want the answer before I push the blame. Gruden will get his chance to make his case. Yes. Long term, the franchise needed to move on from Gruden to have any shot at sustained success. No team with Gruden making roster decisions will have any amount of sustained success. Gruden was largely responsible for the team being so bad for the next couple years following his release. He is actually a good motivator which has the actual talent of the team overachieving but we were so barren of talent all along the roster due to Gruden.
