Convincing other teams our O line isn’t an issue would be as futile as me trying to convince myself I’m good looking.chucker wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:11 am It will be interesting to see what they do with the oline. It's possible that they really believe there's more potential there with Glaze than fans think there is. It's also possible they think Grant has real potential to be a contributor at RT this year. It's also possible that they are just acting like the oline isn't an issue so they can improve it without other teams knowing what a priority it is. I think the blocking scheme will be really good for Jeanty, but they still have to learn to execute it and that's going to take time.
Nobody’s buying that obvious smoke screen.

Same here...though we have already acquired an OL starter, I don't think we should assume that it should end there...more competition will surely make us better and hopefully give us more depth..RI RAIDER wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:17 am I would like to increase the odds of possible and draft OL in the 2nd.

Can we get a starting O lineman in the 3rd? Guard probably, tackle I'm not sure.raidersince63 wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:27 am Same here...though we have already acquired an OL starter, I don't think we should assume that it should end there...more competition will surely make us better and hopefully give us more depth..

It's hard to say though. Miller and Linderbaum are quality starters, no doubt. I think most people believe JPJ is a viable solid starter, or better, at guard. Rogers was a third round pick last year and showed enough that he is a "more likely than not" starter.Viper wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:16 am Convincing other teams our O line isn’t an issue would be as futile as me trying to convince myself I’m good looking.

The one starting spot that is a big question mark is RT, and they may look at Glaze's college tape and 2024 tape pre-BrennanChip and think he has some potential. Seattle had an awful oline in 2024 and then added one draft pick in 2025 and inserted a second year undrafted tackle at center with no NFL starting experience and won the SB. Our Oline today is as good or better than the oline that Seattle went into the season with.
I know we'll add in the draft, because you add to the oline in the draft every year. I will certainly feel better about it if we add a RT in the 2nd, but Kubiak and Dennison may feel that they have something to work with among the players already on the roster including a massive upgrade at center. And they could feel that way and still be wrong.

I am not even convinced we can get a starting OT (at least not a day 1 starter) in the 2nd. We can get a day 1 starting OG in Pregnon (who is a beast). It looks like (anything can happen) he will be there for the taking with our pick.raider_kin wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:30 am Can we get a starting O lineman in the 3rd? Hard to say, there are gambles in drafting regardless of position but we won't know who will available after the 1st round because there are always surprises on draft day/s...still a couple of weeks away so the stock in some draftees could rise or fall between now and then.raider_kin wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:30 am Can we get a starting O lineman in the 3rd? Some of the very best linemen, OL and DL, were drafted after the first round so obviously they are out there, we just need to hope that management is as smart as we hope, and that they make the smart choices.

with multiple 4th rd picks expect a run on guard and rt in the 4th rd, we need run stuffing big boy in the middle of the line at nt/dt, we also need a wr1RI RAIDER wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 6:17 am I would like to increase the odds of possible and draft OL in the 2nd.

every yr in the draft quality starting oline guys at guard and rt are found, some turn into all prosRI RAIDER wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 7:11 am I am not even convinced we can get a starting OT (at least not a day 1 starter) in the 2nd. Nobody said they did not, but they are few and far between. You always need luck. That being said, the odds of getting a quality day 1 starting RT diminish greatly after the middle of the first (they are obviously a bigger commodity than G). The NFL has always treated guards like red headed stepchildren. Lets use it to our advantage and grab a day 1 starting guard (its not like its not a big need). There is nothing better than having a bunch of kids starting who are on rookie deals. Obviously, it makes it easier to build your team.mstrbass2000 wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 8:00 am every yr in the draft quality starting oline guys at guard and rt are found, some turn into all pros

I believe if The Raiders make a trade to move back in the 1st round it will be for a WR. Not an O-Lineman
