Thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who enjoys playing the stock market.

I'm working on taking a position on a company called Archer Aviation. (ARCH)

Electric plane start up with plans for taxis service and sales. The Dolphin owner is a big fan and is setting up a taxis service from his Country club to the Stadium for example.
Sales will be going to the Mideast as well.
Some FAA approvals in the works.
Defense contracts too.

Is George Jetson not far behind.

Yeah, I sold on Tuesday, it doubled after that… I still doubled my money on the trade though! Gold dropping like a rock (pun intended) again tonight. If that stock drops big again over the next few days/week, I will probably jump into it again. That stock isn’t just about the price of gold, it’s getting ready to start making a nice profit, due to reinvesting into their mining equipment. The one thing that puts me on edge, both mines are in Tanzania Africa, the Tanzania government is getting some sort of a kick back…

Tesla’s cybercab, If true, this is going to put both Uber/Lyft and any other taxi service out of business… Elon is playing 100D chess!

In the end, I can see where it puts individuals owning cars in general obsolete!

America was built on car ownership and the highway.

Cars will go away when gun ownership/motorcycles and the American way of life does.

In other words....never.

I know Testla stock has done great, but if you look at its valuation it docent support its price. Its almost like a meme stock, with many buying on future sales etc. Its vehicle sales are down big time in Europe and China.

In my case, its price is too rich for my blood. I try to find small caps in the 3-15 dollar range.

Anyone looking for a dividend play this mortgage REIT pays just over 12%

I owned it for years and did well. Sold it recently on a price spike and would buy into it again around $21.

Currently paying 0.70 a share quarterly.

RR....Qusstion for you..... I've read all your posts...and you still seem to have kept all your faculties.

I know you read a lot and are well informed.

I've read a ton of articles from so called investors and market analists that say...you need at least a million $$$$ to retire.

Its not that cut and dried....

Where you live, what you want out of out of retirement, debt, health.........

So I ask you.....

How much does one need?

That's a tough question. I think it has to do with your life style. Where you live etc. In my case living in an expensive State like NJ, but I'm good with NJ.

For me my happy place is 750k. I generally make 50-100k a year off that an try not to ever spend the principal. I also have pensions and a high SSI number, so that helps.

I think the average person should shoot for a minimum of 500k for retirement. In today's inflationary times young people should shoot for and easily go for a million plus. Key being start early.

My oil stocks are happy, but with oil at $91 a barrel I would think the stocks should be higher. The stocks don't always follow the barrel price in a linear fashion. If the war continues, some expect $150 a barrel. Hope my stocks follow the price per barrel.

I dream of a day when property taxes cease when mortgage is paid in full.

No shit. Unfortunately where I live they treat home ownership as an easy mark. Paying over 3 grand a year on a 210,000 house.

Nebraska is a tax me to death state and they wonder why all the graduates move out of state. To attract business they offer tax increment financing which kills the tax revenue, empties the coffers and increases the burden on the homeowners to make up the shortfall. Throw in the 3rd highest gas tax in the country, tax on Social Security, tax on inheritance, and you get a top 10 tax ranking.

How much you giving back at the pump? Over a hundy a barrel and gas is headed for 4$ a gallon or more. Throw in the fact that diesel is rising factor and everything you get at the store will spike. Which means you should break about even.

Being retired I don't drive much, but so far I'm 45k ahead on my oil stocks, so thats a lot of high priced gas I can afford. And my sports car is a 462 hp PREMIUM user.

I've been loading up on airline stocks. Especially AAL. Right now they are getting hammered because of fuel prices, but when the war is over they should bounce back big time.

Do your due diligence of course.
