I think we have got Pete all wrong..this guy has been pulling the wool over on us this whole time…he has known from the debacle in Washington he was tanking and probably from game 2. Thus the reason for keeping his son as Oline coach, taking over the defense from PG until the Texans game, holding out the rookies who were playing better than his scrubs.

He wanted to show out in the Texans game just to show everyone the team hadn’t quit on him—This guy has been hustling us the whole time…watch the decisions he will make during tie game..he is tanking and he wants to be the HC next year with the new incoming QB. I think this has been discussed with Mark and Spytek behind closed doors. They are trying to get the 1st pick!

I can understand people who want to trade him but I want Maxx to stay. Draft a QB and Keep Maxx.

I'd like to keep him too. But, by the time this team is even semi viable again he will be done. I think he's going to done sooner than later anyway with how he plays. I think it would be best to trade him to a team that needs him to get to the next level. We would get valuable picks and they would get what they need... and what Maxx deserves before his career is over.

For the record (for those doubting that we are in full tank mode) I think Jeremy Chinn was our second highest graded player (behind Maxx), on defense according to pff. Chinn played every snap last week and Crosby never leaves the field.

Still not enough, I would be happier with Geno out of the game if the tank is real, not saying one way or the other, just that is an important piece to give me a thought that it is. Jeanty is the other.

He isn't gone yet. He might get vocal, but that doesn't mean you need to trade him.

I agree but add an incentive in his contract to get the media whore to STFU...Like him as a player and his attitude about wanting to play but he needs to shut his cake hole...He's gotten waaaaay to big an ego and his meddling set us back even more years getting AP hired.

Here's a guy who was making a lot of noise about all the losing, leading many to speculate he wanted out. Then they hire PC and hes back on board. So then we go 2-15 and prolly fire PC. And winning a game now will keep him as a happy camper? I hope this is all just posturing for show, because the alternative is that he is a 24 carat idiot.

I too prefer players who just play. Some others talk too much, but it's on the organization if they let that alter their plans.
