What changes should the coaching staff make during the bye

Unread post by STHfrontrow »

What changes should Pete and staff make during the bye?

I think Geno is cooked and if O'Connell is ready he should be starting. Geno is not some newly drafted 1st round pick going through growing pains. Maybe, O'Connell can give the team a spark.

Try adjusting the O-line a bit but I'm sure the coaches think they're playing the best combo of players in that group. Worth trying something new?

Thoughts on what adjustments can be made?

We really don’t have the talent; most of our players would just be back up except Crosby, Jeanty, Miller and Bower

I guess a steadfast belief in a player like Geno fit the definition of stubborn.
He is like McDickhed....... he wants the Raiders to be the Las Vegas Seahawks.

We don't really know what talent we have because Pete doesn't know who to play.

And why trade a 5th rounder for a backup Qb, if you're unwilling to use him? Geno has obviously played bad enough to be benched, yet we refuse to put Pickett in. Why make that trade?

I've never been super impressed with Pete but I fully thought he would add a bit of stability for a few years and get this team pointed in the right direction but Jesus f[raiders_icon]ck it looks bleak right now

I thought the same, and I think the same now. He should probably just be replaced this year, we can't be any worse.

I’ve seen enough of Geno and Picket and Crappa.

May as well let the Miller kid take first team reps and also play one or two of the rookies on the line.

Chip Kelley hangs on by a thread because Geno is just that bad. I’ve seen receivers open multiple times and Geno throws elsewhere and often Into triple coverage. Doesn’t let Chip off the hook though. He is most definitely on the tightest of leashes if I had any say lol

Starting Miller sounds like a decent option. Geno is cooked. Miller might be a spark. Can't believe coach still wants to stick with Geno. His stat line is rough.

Miller might not be ready though.

Miller is a 6th round QB from the FCS.

He isn't close to being ready.

To be fair, neither is Geno.

Back OT
Changes? I'm not sure any changes they make will have much impact with Smith at QB. Not that I would expect that Pickett or AOC12 will do much better. And at this point it doesn't really matter: a few wins here and there from here on out is ultimately self defeating. Just like it was for the last several years/decades.

I hear that. I'd love to see Miller get some reps.

Agreed. But who gives a f[raiders_icon]ck at this point?
