Maxx needs to do more. He's only played 6 years...... there are a number of ways to get it done, and many more ways to not get it done. I believe he wants to be a HOFer and will put in a ton of effort to get there and he has the kind of start to his career that allows it to happen but there's a lot more work to do. At this point in their careers, Mack would have had a head start on a HOF argument - in my eyes a 1st team All Pro is a big deal and a DPOY is huge. Will Maxx ramp up as the years go on, or have less impact like Mack did? Time will tell.

A lack of effort won't sink him, but might delusions of grandeur be a factor? Regardless, it's early in his career relative to HOFers, and the book just isn't written yet.

This is hilarious. But there is a grain of truth underlying the comments. MAC conference gets national publicity only when they are paid to play against a team they are supposed to lose to. It's a big deal if they beat a BIG 10 or SEC team. That's the conference Maxx played in. Eastern Michigan University, just down the road from UM in Ypsilanti. He learned a lot about toughness there. It's just one step toward a HOF career.

First of all, he needs to get the vote of Al Gamini.

Getting 48.5 more sacks as a Raider and becoming our all time sack leader would help.
