Things don't just feel different, they are different. This team will be highly competitive under this coaching staff. I anticipate the possibility of a slow start but when things do click, I think we will be capable of doing some damage.

If you couldn't guess, im optimistic.

Optimistic, I‘m looking forward to what this offense will look like under Chip. I can‘t remember when we had a modern innovative offense last, maybe Gruden 1.0

Football minds inside the walls for the first time in a long time. That gives me an optimistic view of the process. But we are way down the feeding trough with regards to the talent we need to be truly competitive due to a bunch of wasted years so I think we will be improved but I think that is part of a more extensive plan that gets us to the playoffs next year and deeper into the mix in year three.

No truer words have ever been said on this forum! I will add this the 70s and early 80s teams where more about mental and physical toughness and positional talent. I could see this team following that tradition if they can buy into what PC is selling.

I anticipate 9 wins........ we'll need a lot of good to happen on the defense to surpass that I think. I'd be a lot more optimistic if we'd hung onto Spillane.

The general sentiment of the thread seems to be optimistic. Some have said that with a new season, they feel a need to be optimistic. I realistically believe that what they actually need is an optometrist. Sure we have taken strides in making a needed culture change and had a good draft. But this wasnt going to be fixed in one year. At the risk of sounding like a mystic pest, 6-7 wins.

If you go by Vegas odds the win total is 6.

Based on schedule and other factors I can easily see a scenario where we going into the final quarter of the season fighting for a playoff berth.

I'll not venture a win prediction other than to say that if our QB stays healthy... a playoff is a very real possibility.

Going with 7-10 as my prediction.

To me, while I expect improvement, there are just too many positions where they’re counting on someone to “step up”. The LB and DB positions are extremely shaky on paper, putting it lightly. Will the offensive line gel like we are hoping? Are the duo of Meyers and Bech good enough?

From a talent perspective, I still think they’re decisively 4th in the AFCW.

That being said. I’d absolutely love to see this team playing meaningful games in December.

I'll give the queefs the division, but in no f[raiders_icon]cking way shape or form am I giving quarter to either the dischargers or donks.

If the Raiders go less than a split in division I will be surprised. ....No, disappointed. Queefs are living on reputation.

We got rid of the garbage coach and finally have adults in the front office.

I'm hoping for just not looking like shit. Just compete in every game.... win or lose. I know the hope is high for this next season. I hope too.... I just know how it is. The new regime is the start. The next two years will tell the tale.
