Let's not act like this was his first game and we aren't aware of what Geno can do.

But to answer your question, an offense that gives him a little more protection. You can't compare Herbert to Geno. One guy had all day, the other guy was finagling the pocket for more time almost each pass play.

So he needs a moat.

I was hoping for better, but the game wasn't that surprising. Geno played worse than expected and the defense played better, but other than that, the position groups played about as expected. That includes a horrible performance by the OL.

Yes Herbert had better protection, but there were times when Geno had clean pockets with big plays to be made & was completely inaccurate.

In the UFL. :scared:
I remember one good play he made in one game, which was a defensed pass in a 4th preseason game against SF.

I wish I was kidding.

That's why pressure is needed, it not only f[raiders_icon]cks up the direct play but it changes QB's clocks and they make mistakes even when not pressured.

Brady would need a moat with this O line.

He needs what he had week one. Or what he's excelled in with the past. Let's act real here, bad player and bad team games happen. This wasn't an all or nothing outing.

On a good note, this is the best LB corps we have had in an eternity (not that it means much).

Yep. In a tight game you have to make the throws that are there to be made. Those misses had nothing to do with the O-line, the play call, the scheme, or anything else. Those guys were wide open, Geno had time, and firkin' blew it.

Right now he's got 4 picks and one TD on the season and in both games there could have been more interceptions. He's lucky he only has four so far.

Hopefully he'll get better as the season wears on, but a 13 year vet shouldn't be missing throws like that. The dude looked Tebow-esque at times.

It actually means a lot, ole men around here seen 50 years of football, we knew this wasn't a dominant team and we lost a game. How can many act so surprised and disappointed? Chargers are perfectly tough where we are weak and we're weak in the worst area you can be weak in.

Geno was 3 and 6 on Monday nights before last night. Makes it 3 of his last 4 Also saw 1 and 7 on Thursday nights. So 5 and 13 under the lights. Maybe he's not a prime time player?
Just a raiderboy(Dubow)ron take.

Yes, and we need to get the running game going!
