On to Washington

As bad as last night was. The Raiders have to move on and do it quickly on a short week.
Even worst it’s an early start in the east coast against a team that had their minimum bye week. So they will be rested and had plenty of time to game plan for us.
This is an early big test.

If you've watched Jayden Daniels this year, he's looked pretty bad, I watched both his games as he's my FFL QB, and he looks like a deer in headlights with pressure (although in fairness most do, especially our guy), but even with that said, hasn't looked very special. I hope we don't let our guard down with Mariota at QB who probably isn't a huge downgrade compared to what we've seen of 2025 Daniels.
In addition, Ekeler is out for the season, Washington could play like their backs are against the wall in this one, it won't be an easy game, we need Geno to step up, and some real production from Jeanty, the training wheels need to come off (aka, Chip needs to get his head out of his ass).

This is funny and what a lot of us have been seeing. PC’s kid may need to be replaced soon.
Edit: this was already posted by DrDUne in the Jeanty thread but I can’t delete it for some reason.

Yep I still think he’s 3x better than AOC and can lead us to 8-10 wins. They need to start playing complimentary football. We are one dimensional with no run game at the moment. Let’s give it 6 games before the sky is falling shit, sound good?

PCs kid may be the worst coach ever but 2 games does not define a coach. 2 f[raiders_icon]cking games lol.

I don’t know; Washington is at home and they did make the playoffs last year….hopefully Carroll will come up to a game plan to win on Sunday….
The Raiders are a better road team than they are at home….

True. But there's not a doubt in my mind that if he were to play, it would of been an absolute get right game for him against us.

That's why I don't go nuts when a rookie qb has a good/great year. Once the dc's adjust and get film, it's on the qb to take the next step. It happens almost every year. A rookie qb has a great year and gets hyped up, then the following year(s) looks like a mid level qb

I get what you're saying but the line was almost if not just as bad last year. I think Carrol's kid is being scapegoated a bit for this

JPJ looks like a go. Still no word of OL changes. Just what I expected - NOTHING.

Flip Meredith and JPJ. Pick a peanut vendor to take Parham's spot. Our OL will be improved.

It would be nice to start hearing that Caleb Rogers and/or Charles Grant are making noise in practice and could step in at the guard spots. Parham and Meredith get no push. JPJ can go back to center.

Careful. According to some weirdo on here, we all need to get off JPJ's dick.
Anyway, JPJ needs to be at center. It would be an instant improvement on the line. And no, I don't trust that the coaching staff is correct with keeping Meredith at center. He belongs at guard.
This. JPJ is clearly better at center. I thought Meredith did a decent job at both guard spots last season. I do not understand why they both are playing at positions where they are not as effective/impactful. Parham is a total cluster f[raiders_icon]ck and needs to permanently be banished.

They were praising this free agent pickup Will Putnam in the preseason. Maybe he is ready? I agree that Parham has been unimpressive (even bad) since early last season. The Raiders signed him last year as a UDFA. He is 6'4" and 300 lbs. But -- he is a center in college and on the depth chart now. Cappa and rookie Rogers are the back up guards. The interior O-line has been weak for a few years now.
