This kind of stuff stays so close to the vest for good reason. It affects possible trade deals to replace someone, affects teams cutting players that may be in your Division that might be a boon to your adversary. That they get traded to someone else instead of cutting them along with a myriad of other reasons. Just like the draft, we need gigantic fans to blow all the smoke out of the way and then we still can't see clearly.

I would speculate that him being in a walking boot is not the end of the world. I think that in itself gives us a glimmer of hope.

It’s a nice reminder of who the Raiders were with regards to FA acquisitions. A nod to our rich history post glory days.

I was just pointing out that it would be far worse if he had crutches or a cane (less weight bearing). Hard to tell if he has a cast on (recent surgery). I have gone thru this (I am sure its not exactly the same). Until we hear something that he needs another surgery, I am going to be hopeful that we see him this season.

The nature of football is such that you just cannot predict injuries. We signed a guy who had been mostly injury free and had a high motor and a great skill set only to watch him get injured. That happens. To dismiss the signing as risky or not on point with his value would not be a correct take. We got a guy whom everyone to a man said it was a great signing.

Then the injury happened.

And then the boo birds came out and said we wasted our money. That has been the pattern for literally years with any number of signings. We did the same thing with Antonio Brown. We never saw the nutbar he actually was until we got him on the team. We saw the diva, not the meltdown.

You just have to have to tune out the rubbish. This kid was the best player at a huge position of need. He did not have an injury history. Sucks he got hurt. For the all knowing fortune tellers, I would like some scores for today and tomorrows games so I can make some $.
