2026 NFL Schedule and early leaks

Unread post by Rabidraider »

The NFL will reveal the full schedule for the 2026 season on Thursday night, but they have announced one marquee Week 1 game on Monday.

The first Sunday Night Football matchup of the season will see the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to face the Giants on NBC on September 13. It will be the eighth time in 15 seasons that the two NFC East clubs have faced each other in Week 1.

• Thursday, Sept. 10: San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia, 8:35 p.m. ET (kickoff Friday at 10:35 a.m. local time to account for American TV time difference)
• Sunday, Sept. 13: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants on “Sunday Night Football”
• Sunday, Sept. 27: Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

In addition to that, fans know the defending champion Seattle Seahawks will open the 2026 NFL season on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Their opponent has not been chosen yet, though it’s almost certain to be another one of the league’s premier franchises.

How long until we get the "The league is intentionally screwing the Raiders again" posts? I should make a betting thread about that, but then someone will place a bet and then go and post it up just to win.

This will be the first year in quite some time where I’m going to miss multiple games to start the year.

Mrs Willmark and I are doing a driving trip in September. On Saturday September 12th we’ll be in South Bend to catch the Irish home opener. If all goes well we’ll be in Green Bay to catch the Packers if they are playing at home that Sunday.

From there we head all the way to Cody Wy and will be there for a week before heading home. I did just build in stopping at the new Buc-ees in Dayton Ohio!

Point being out there I’ll be at the mercy of the regional broadcasts and I’m guessing it will be broncos games which sucks.

Weeks 2-3 we’ll be either fairly busy or in the road so I might not catch a full game until Week 4!

I don’t mind watching the Broncos as I get a chance to root against them in real time. That goes for any rival. That also goes for any team besides us, who am I kidding.

Hopefully the Thursday nighter is at home. Travelling on a short week, tough, might as well call up the entire practice squad.

Sounds like a nice trip. Look at it this way, you'll probably be missing Cousins at QB, not Mendoza.
I would ask for a future update on Dayton, Ohio (was born there) but I'm not sure it will be good news.

No chance the Raiders play 6 primetime games.

Interesting that this is a home game for the Rams as they have only played 6 years in there new(ish) digs and are already playing a "home" game all the way over in Australia.
