The off season is just about over and the 2026 season starts this week.

Looking forward to the computer strike zone.

Go Yankees!

When my family moved to the SF Bay Area in the mid 70’s I could barely catch the dodgers on an AM transistor radio. Vinny was the best. Ross Porter was a good sidekick as well.

Mets have the highest payroll $352 million to $367.9 million, not including deferred money (Dodgers) and have lost 11 games in a row.

The computer strike zone:

It showing who are the bad umps are...
Are forcing umps to stay in the zone and not extend it during the game...
Reducing arguments...

It been great so far...

Jokesters are saying the streak began when the Met's mascots hugged commie Mamdani.

LOL, yeah that's the reason.

To be fair Soto has been out.

But the team looks dysfunctional.

Manager is about to get fired.

Met fans said the Yankees were the little brothers after getting Soto...lol

Ben Rice tearing it up. Schlittler looks promising. Once Cole and Rodon return from IR and Gil returns to form, they will have a very formidable rotation, potentially the best in MLB. They look like the class of the AL.

Kid on Milwaukee was throwing 102 to 104 in the first inning vs Yankees.

I wonder when he till he needs Tommy John surgery.

Are fastballs the culprit for those needing TJ surgery? Not the torque and snap of throwing breaking balls?

Disregard, a quick Google search confirms fastballs are most likely the culprit.

Having said that there seems to be more elbow surgeries today than ever and I think the culprit is that kids are pitching too much too early in life. Many kids today play their sport year round unlike many of us who grew up playing multiple sports seasonally.

I believe its throw 100% as long as you can as hard as you can. Most starters don't see the 6th inning anymore.

Hard to believe in 1968 Denny MCClain had 28 complete games while throwing 331 innings.

Hell, way back in the day pitchers used to go both ends of a double header.

WAY back.

I saw Joe Neikro do it for the White Sox, but he was a knuckleballer.
