D+ we did not get our number one WR LOL

Actually, I like this draft, Spytek moved around a lot and got us some nice pieces. We did not get everything but it feels like Raiderland Christmas.


So let's see those overreaction grades. I know, I know, you cannot grade a draft for 3 years. Boo f[raiders_icon]cking Hoo. Lighten up Francis and grade this glorious weekend.

Mendoza by himself does not get us an A but the rest of the group certainly has to impress when put together. McCoy if he heals up makes the robber barons of the draft.

And there will be UDFAs and post draft pickups and drops. Tyree is going, well eventually, I mean the door s 40 yards away so it will take some time.

Grade A- but if McCoy pans out the grade could change.

At this point everything is on paper but,

The O line looks much much better.
The linebacker room is much improved,
The secondary with Johnson and the new kids look better,
Adding Washinton improves the running back room
Special teams have no clue, but a bad kicker would be a nightmare.
and finally the edge rushers are better.

Receivers and D Tackles are my biggest question marks but Nailor is going to be a pleasant surprise.

My take as well. Cousins and Kubiak will go a long way to helping with the WRs. DT is going to be a paint point from the look of it.

He wanted no less than 8 tight ends on the roster and 5 quarterbacks with dual threat ability. Dual threat is probably a stretch, they needed to be running backs with a decent throwing arm. Oh and the SPARQ scores. I would view the forum as a bystander and just be in awe at the rants. Kind of funny actually and entertaining

I agree with this, as I have mentioned more than a few times now the same thing. Seems to me with KK, that he is going to put what we already had OL and receiver wise in a better position to succeed than the exiting staff. Gone is Pete and his kid messing with the OL, the wide receivers we drafted last year now have NFL experience. It just seems logical that Dennison will get everyone on point OL wise, we will run the ball, or at least have the threat of it, forcing defenses in most cases to constantly have to defend against it. That alone should help the passing game tremendously.

As far the OL- Carroll plus Miller and JPJ out for the majority of the year didn’t help. Not playing the younger guys much didn’t help either. Relying on Forthsythe and Cappa same.

With the line we have now a number of players it’s finding the right combo.

WRs- while it would be great to have a true WR1, Kubiak’s offense doesn’t revolve around it. I suspect it’s going to be a LOT of platooning in 2026 at WR.

I don't count Mendoza as part of this draft's grading. He was the consensus #1 and almost no amount of insanity would've prevented us nor anyone else on all but a few teams from drafting him.

Thus, I give the draft a B-. This is largely because of McCoy. IMO, you don't draft someone with a severe injury that's foreseeably going to need further operations before he sees the field again--if he ever sees it again. And if he ever does, it's likely he won't be ready to go until 2027 and by then, he won't have played a down of football in a real game in two years.

There's a difference between a project and a player who carries the very real possibility to never play again. People can try and justify it by saying it's just a fourth round pick, but good depth players can still be found in that round. D-line, LB, an uninjured CB, etc. would have all been better choices IMO.

Dennison has the pedigree behind him that will earn the respect of the players and get them to fall in line.

Yeah, Miller and Linderbuam are the only two set at there positions and will be starters. I would suspect the other 3 positions LG, RG, RT are all up for grabs and the major players for them are JPJ, Zuhn, Burford, Rogers, Glaze, Grant. I suspect for those last 3 positions they have guys they hope take the reigns but are open to all comers.
