...I do remember him looking 'better' after he left, what was it, with Minny and buff?....MexicanHulk wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:39 am Oh, he was most definitely overrated here. A few really were over the top. Most thought he was a good starter. I had him as a below avg overall RB. His rushing, contact balance, vision were all below avg. His pass blocking was very good &, pass catching was ok. & I agree with what you said about him.
So yeah, the Murray comparison is a terrible one in my opinion

Oh I'm not saying we are. Just that someone brought them up &, I was just posting for fun that, Jeanty/Washington are far better than bothAttyla wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:35 am We are not recreating Seattle's system. But we are creating Kubiak's vision for what he wanted in Seattle. Washington is a piece we needed

With that pick we just told the rest of the NFL we are going to run you over with our running backs, keep your defense on the field, exhausted, up in the box and then pick and choose when to make the quick short strikes while you believe we are handing off and let our receivers run with it. On that note not a single selection of a WR yet. Seems that they aren't all that too concerned with our receiving core. Of course I suspect we will add to it later if not in the draft but through UDFA, waiver wire and veteran cuts.

He looked the same after he left. Yes, it was with Minn. Think he went to the Saints after that. Was the same player he was with the Raiders. Those teams just had better rosters. Better schemes & oline. Murray wasn't better. His teams were.WNYRAIDER wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:41 am ...I do remember him looking 'better' after he left, what was it, with Minny and buff?....

I love the McCoy pick, thats a classic Al Davis move if I ever saw one. And the running back we got seems like a good complement to Jeanty, probably will see a lot of special teams action too.
My conclusion is that the coaching staff is much, much higher on our wide receiver room and tackle situation than the sports journos and we are.

As I recall, there was a conspiracy out there that teams were holding him back because of some unexplained reason because that is what teams do, they sign guys to contracts and then hold them back because of some loony reason.MexicanHulk wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:44 am He looked the same after he left. He was a below average back and he demonstrated that

Spytek said that Grant, Rogers, Bech & Thornton all stayed in Vegas this off-season and have been working hard. I'm sure they know whatsup regarding all of those guys.

Mike Washington was considered the number 3 runningback in the draft. I think we got ourselves a steal.

The only guy we have "reached" on was Crawford and I can make a case that we did not even reach there.erickench wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:50 am Mike Washington was considered the number 3 runningback in the draft. I think we got ourselves a steal.

I had J.Coleman #3, maybe #2 & Washington #4. So yeah, he fell & is a solid pick here.erickench wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:50 am Mike Washington was considered the number 3 runningback in the draft. I think we got ourselves a steal.

Just think, high 5 dealt for garbage pickitt !
Grant it it’s 5th round but I’d rather have the pick than a journeyman who can’t play
