We could draft an amputee, and some on here could find a way to justify it lol

We’re at the point where getting a starter is something like a 20% probability so taking a swing at a possibly elite guy seems fair.DrDUne wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 9:16 am Absolutely zero problem taking a shot there.
Nakobe Dean fell to pick 83 for medical concerns.

Dallas took Jaylon Smith with pick number 34 knowing he would sit a year.

Knee surgery and rehab has progressed so much in recent years, so I'd say the odds are on his side.CWood24 wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 9:16 am If that knee checks out then this is a hell of a pick
The kid is only 20 so even if he needs that second surgery he still has age on his side
Same is true for TJ surgery in MLB...in many cases FB velocity has actually increased after surgery.

If it wasn’t successful then yes it would be career ending but that is the case with every injury that is unsuccessfully operated on
A this point in the draft it is still worth the risk
Day 3 is when you take those chances

McCoy is only 20. His career is going to be fine if he has to wait a bit longer to get a surgery. This guy is the best or 2nd best CB in the draft. Huge get.

So I ask you again. Why did a once top 10 pick fall to the 4th round if theres no concern? When have the Raiders ever proved they are smarter than other teams? Point is, this is a gamble that a contender takes. Not a rebuilding team with a rookie QB incoming.HolyRoller wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 9:25 am He ran the time at his pro day … I.e. recently - get it ??
