I agree we got 2 3rd and lots of good players leftCWood24 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:43 pm Yeah we need a NT but the position is deep so there is time to vet our guy, as much as i’m a trenches guy i’ll say safety was as big a need as NT
We didn't reach for a safety we took a 2nd round guy in the second round
If i was you stay away from bridges if you get you knicker in this much of a twist about not drafting the guy you wanted

I completely disagree. This draft is not deep with nose tackle talent. There are players available, but that doesn't mean they're any good. That's why the pick bothers me so much. I am in no way convinced there are good nose tackles out there. Hell, Miller was available too when we made our pick but even he was a reach for a true nose tackle. Defensive tackle, yes. Nose tackle? I'm not so sure.CWood24 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:43 pm Yeah we need a NT but the position is deep so there is time to vet our guy, as much as i’m a trenches guy i’ll say safety was as big a need as NT

You have obviously been given very good intel.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:47 pm I have it on good authority that there are those in this forum who believe they are more qualified than Spytek and Leonard

I wouldn't have taken him solely for that reason. His age is a legit concern too. I sincerely hope he pans out and becomes a HOF'er for us, and we do need S badly, so I don't hate the pick, but this one feels like a reach we didn't need to make. Was he really BPA or was he just BPA at that position?CWood24 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:18 pm His ACL was in 2024 he’ll be around 2 years removed from injury come the start of the season so it wasnt that recent
He also came back last year & was quite productive so is the injury really a worry
In this case, BPA should've been the way to go.

On the other hand, the Texans believed he was worth trading up for. And suffice it to say, they seem to have a decent eye for defensive talent.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:38 pm Obviously, Spytek and Leonard didn't think McDonald was all that. No need to panic.

33 years it will comeback to Pittsburgh and all those bored to tears now, will be replaced with a new group of first timers.ELCAraiderfan wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:39 pm The draft in Pittsburg looks boring as f[raiders_icon]ck. But the entertainment in here from keyboard wannabe nfl gm's is damn funny and entertaining.

Why do we need a 3rd+ round WR, when we have 2 second year players working on their game the same way any WR from here on out would be doing? Or are we short on WR's on the roster?

No one's saying that. It's very reasonable to say there were better players on the board that could've potentially filled a bigger need. We've seen our trenches get pushed around for years now and there was a legit DT for the taking. That's not doomsaying. It's a reasonable opinion.raidersince63 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:42 pm Yup...after only 2 picks, our draft and our season and our future is doomed. SMH.

Holy crap, Haulcy still on the board too. I'm hoping Raiders can somehow get Big Citrus & Hurst.
double dip at DT with G. Halten or T. Onyedim.
Also like WRs Branch & Burks. I like Burks a little more.
LB K. Louis or Hill JR would be a good pick as well. I like Louis a good bit more

Chiefs probably go Branch, as you know he's small but explosive.MexicanHulk wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:56 pm Holy crap, Haulcy still on the board too. I'm hoping Raiders can somehow get Big Citrus & Hurst.

It wasn't the "reasonable opinions" that I was responding to.Opoponax50 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:56 pm No one's saying that.
