You are correct. Looking at the safeties left, none are as good in coverage as. There are some very good box safeties, but he’s best in coverage.CWood24 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:48 pm It’s a good pick we get a guy who was mostly mocked in the 2nd with a few guys having him in the 1st some in the 3rd
Free Safety has the weakest depth in the draft & we desperately needed a starter, I would say i can’t believe people are complaining about a guy who can cover & has a nose for the ball but it is our whiny ass fan base so it’s the norm

So was Pregnon IMHO.
I can't believe they didn't address the OL with that pick.

MEGATRON! Making the Lions pick. Damn still pissed we didn't pick him instead of J'bustass. Megatron was no brainer pick

Leading up to this draft, this Forum has pretty much come to a consensus on need: OL, S, and DT. Next up in popularity was WR. I would put LB over WR myself, but I get that Thornton, Bech, and Tucker can be improved upon. Heck, I think I would even go RB before WR.

He was a 6 year starter. Torn ACL in 2024. He has a 5 year shelf life if we are lucky. DB over 30 go to the rest home.

Yeah, Safety is by far the weakest position. I predict will be two more Safeties (DBs) taken before the weekends done-- And two of the three will be DAY 1 starters over what we have on the current roster.KillerRaider30 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:43 pm On any other team Pola-Mao would be on the practice squad.

They must think Rogers & JPJ are starters & if they think that then Pregnon should be a non starterRick In Bakersfield wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:53 pm So was Pregnon IMHO.

OL is deep
WR is deep
DT is deep
FS is weak
If you grade all the guys around the same then you take the guy from the weakest depth position as you can get starters later on in the deeper positions

IOL isn't really a need. FS was & Stukes was a BPA type at that point.Rick In Bakersfield wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:53 pm So was Pregnon IMHO.
