Yahoo sports had this possible deal, (Slow news day...lol) what does everyone think? Is Brown too much of a distraction?
Philadelphia Eagles get: Maxx Crosby, 2026 3rd-round pick (No. 67)
Las Vegas Raiders get: A.J. Brown, 2026 1st-round pick (No. 23)

It would solve our WR1 issue, but not in love with a guy who was moaning about his useage after a game(s) that his team won. I also wouldn't throw in the 3rd round pick.Rabidraider wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 10:57 am Yahoo sports had this possible deal, (Slow news day...lol) what does everyone think? I mean i dont hate it if we immediately flip brown for another first+ but no interest in adding him to the team.
This isnt going to happen though eagles need to wait to trade brown until after june due to cap ramifications
They definitely cant take brown hit and add crosbys salary

We already have a "WR1"...his name is Brock Bowers.
Seriously though, for me, two WR2s is just as good as one WR1. And I think by opening day we will likely have that, if we don't already.
Most WR2s are not "attention whores" and they are typically not double teamed often. Mendoza should have as many good options as possible.
We didn't have a bad WR crew last year, we just had QBs that couldn't get the ball to them very well.

This shit triggers me every time lol, Brock Bowers isn't a WR1, he just produces like one. Nothing to do with Maxx because at this point, I think we should just ride it out with him. But the Raiders need a WR1.raidersince63 wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 12:08 pm We already have a "WR1"...his name is Brock Bowers.![]()

Lots of Maxx chatter the last 48 hours. Sports writers in NE suggesting the Patriots still have interest and may be in contact with the raiders
I saw another eagles/raiders trade from ESPN, linking a proposal from the Eagles offering their 1st, edge rusher Nolan Smith and a 3rs next year
You can also find articles this week indicating the rams have interest as well

It was tongue in cheek.NoThanksSir wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 12:11 pm This shit triggers me every time lol, Brock Bowers isn't a WR1, he just produces like one. Nothing to do with Maxx because at this point, I think we should just ride it out with him. But the Raiders need a WR1.
But I think the Philly faux pas really damaged our opportunity to trade Maxx...but hell, who knows.

Brock is not a WR1 but he will always be the #1 pass catching option. Which is exactly why the Raiders do not and will not need your typical "alpha WR1" as long as he's here. The opportunity to create more mismatches exists with a weapon like Brock as opposed to a typical WR1. This offense will thrive with Brock and a few solid #2s.

Couldn't disagree with you more. But I think you know that when you were on your Pickens kick lol.NoThanksSir wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 12:11 pm This shit triggers me every time lol, Brock Bowers isn't a WR1, he just produces like one. Yup we certainly don't see eye to eye there. After that ship sailed there really isn't a legitimate WR1 to be had so I'm less interested in forcing the issue. But that doesn't mean Bowers is a WR, jmo of courseBoKnows81 wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 12:44 pm Couldn't disagree with you more. But I think you know that when you were on your Pickens kick lol.

True WR?..No, but he's faster than most TEs and has the hands of a WR and runs routes like a WR and most LBers and some DBs can't stop him.NoThanksSir wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 12:50 pm Yup we certainly don't see eye to eye there. He made a catch last year that I still cannot believe...it looked like something created by AI.

He's certainly talented. My argument is more about how a true WR1 impacts the defense, namely the safety and the QB's pre-snap read. Running an offense through the slot has it's limitations. We never called slot receivers #1's previously, and I don't think we should say the same for TE's like Bowers/Kelce.raidersince63 wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 1:11 pm True WR?..No, but he's faster than most TEs and has the hands of a WR and runs routes like a WR and most LBers and some DBs can't stop him.

Oh, I get your point. It's just that like I said earlier, most elite WRs always seem to end up as a pain in the ass or as I said, "attention whores" and they seem to command bigger salaries. I'd prefer 2 solid #2s.NoThanksSir wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 1:13 pm He's certainly talented. My argument is more about how a true WR1 impacts the defense, namely the safety and the QB's pre-snap read.
