Eli and Roth are the two good ones he’s been QB coach of.

Thank God. Mendoza needs someone he can talk to all practice. Kubiak will be heading up the entire offense along with the OC and may not have time to go through all the tidbits with him.
Mendoza needed a personal coach.

Does this indicate we are drafting Mendoza with the first pick overall?

Experienced QB coach to mentor Mendoza. I like the hire considering our many first time coaches at other positions

Don’t book it. I read somewhere that the Raiders really like Ty Simpson and feel they can trade down 10-20 slots from #1 and nab Simpson. Then with the extra draft picks from the trade they can get a quality tight end and RB in the top couple of rounds.

Nice. I’ve preferred the last 30 years of Raiders Raidering too.

We are clearly drafting Orlovskys love child
Orlovsky's simply playing the percentages with his "I prefer Simpson" shtick. There are four possibilities:

1) Mendoza and Simpson both have solid or better NFL careers
2) Mendoza's NFL career is clearly superior to Simpson's
3) Simpson's NFL career is clearly superior to Mendoza's
4) Neither does well.

In three out of those four scenarios, Orlovsky comes off well.
