I think a late pick or maybe even a pick swap would be enough to get the Saints to let him leave. I don't think they harbor any ill will and they already have their future QB. I do wonder if he actually wants to play, or if he just likes people talking about him like he's some kind of savior. When push comes to shove, he might decide that he's still afraid to get hit and should just keep doing a stupid podcast instead.

I know some here don't really like Carr and some of you have him pegged correctly.
We all know the Raiders do head scratching stuff so thus I can see the idea of Carr coming back.
I'm in the AOC/Mendoza battle it out camp.

Carr mentoring Mendoza:
" If you're going down, let go of the ball. It really hurts to land on it."
"On those deep sidelines passes, make sure the ball is 1 1/2 yards out off bounds. That way the other guy can't intercept it."
"When running for the right endzone pylon and you feel the ball coming loose, aim for the inside edge of it. You want the ball going into the endzone ."
"When in doubt, always throw the ball into the ground, especially on 4th down."
"Don't use eyeblack. Mascara's the only way to go"

Carr would look good in Gotham Green.

I always find it funny when someone thinks previously working with Carr means they'd want to again. They know to stay away.

We've already seen Carr's mentorship at work when Stidham started a couple of games: Carr took his ball and ran home. (Contrast this to Carson Palmer actively helping Terrelle Pryor and cheering him on.)
A veteran mentor for Mendoza would be a good idea, but it needs to be someone who's 100% comfortable with being a backup, either right away or after half a season at the most. And that wouldn't be Carr.

Because I'm tired of moving posts from other threads into this one so now it's more obvious where to put the inevitable Carr posts...... the ones that started the discussion today were dropped into the Mendoza thread. It's easy to avoid the Carr discussion by not clicking on the Carr thread.

I'm just happy that the Terrelle Pryor thread is dead.

It's Florio, so take it with a grain of salt.
