Nevada court clears way for Gruden to sue NFL
Sweet.
A Nevada court cleared the way Monday for a 2021 lawsuit filed by former Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden to proceed against the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell, alleging that a “malicious and orchestrated campaign” was used to destroy Gruden’s career by leaking old emails he had sent that included racist, misogynistic and homophobic comments.
Would love to see the emails from Rog and the other owners to Davis to dump Gru.
And can we see all of Danny boys emails to other owners and to the league?

I think if he does it's going to be very high, he's on the record about it being about who he is and not price, he said he's set for life financially.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 12:46 am Cause Gruden, like most human beings, has a price. Also, he bears some blame to the damage to his character. If he wasn’t a butthole, none of this would be able to even exist.

Most "normal" people would be "set for life" with a couple of million $$$. These guys are in another league when it comes to what is "needed" for a good life.SkullCrusher wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 4:45 pm I think if he does it's going to be very high, he's on the record about it being about who he is and not price, he said he's set for life financially.

Well he seems to not believe it. Seems he might get his day in court to prove that.
But yeah I know what you mean!

Maybe Gruden is a rare exception but very few rich people don't want to be more rich.

To quote Gene Simmons (paraphrase).................... "Money is not the root of all evil, the lack of money is the root of all evil".DanKD wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 8:13 am Maybe Gruden is a rate exception but very few rich people don't want to be more rich.

If the cause was if I give you money with no strings attached, here's my venmo.
This is I'm already rich and my reputation is at serious risk or you damaged my reputation it's not about money now. I gots the F.U. money, I want you to feel some of the pain you gave me. Again the problem in Washington was Jon Gruden, who knew?

I don't see how this could help his reputation in any way. He isn't arguing any of the facts. He wants money because he was outed and is embarrassed. Nothing more than a cash grabSkullCrusher wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 9:28 am That's not the 1:1.

Yes, Jon Gruden is actively attempting to clear his name and reputation in his lawsuit against the NFL by painting himself as the victim of a "malicious and orchestrated campaign"
. His lawsuit alleges that the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell deliberately leaked his emails to ruin his career, rather than just handling the content of those emails
on Gruden’s lawsuit against the NFL is fundamentally about
both reputation and money, alleging a "malicious and orchestrated campaign" by the league to destroy his career. Gruden is seeking significant monetary damages—reportedly exceeding $150 million—for loss of income, endorsement contracts, and career opportunities, while also aiming to clear his name regarding the leaked emails.
Gruden has stated the lawsuit is not about money, but about proving the NFL wronged him and seeking the truth.
Money yes could be involved because it's for damages and that's where it hurts for the NFL.

I don't think Gruden winning the lawsuit would make him look better. I also don't know that he fully understands that - he's made ill-advised decisions before, does anyone remember Damon Arnette?

I think he has a major case. I'm waiting for full disclosure. There's rats everywhere. This is gonna be fun. Hope they schedule trial for the offseason so we get better coverage.
