My favorite game, the one that stands out, is SBXVIII. That day, we took our customary role as the underdog and killed the Redskins team that was supposed to bitch slap us into submission. Theismann was supposed to dominate us. Riggins was supposed to bulldoze us. Their offensive line was supposed to humiliate us. And then the whistle blew. And we unleashed hell. Joe was picked off twice, sacked six times and was harassed all game. Riggins got his score, but only once it did not matter. Marcus set a record that stood for almost three decades. It may have been our finest hour, certainly one of the most dominate performances in history. A game day program sits behind glass on my wall, having only been leafed through once.

Hope it's a good game. Giants beat the Patriots in 2008 so you never know. Unfortunately I suspect a blow out.

Some Todd Christensen candor on his errant punt snap.

RIP Todd and Ray.

If only Al Davis hadn’t traded Chuckles, that team could’ve been special for a few years.

I was in seventh grade and I remember losing fifty cents (back in those days of yore and only 12 at the time, fifty cents was a lot of money) betting against my own Raiders. I remember expecting a steam roller coming at the Raiders that day. Then there was the Jensen blocked punt, and they were off to the races. Greatest fifty cents I ever spent (see lost) in my life.

....and that with all of the dead cap money, we would be trying to fill half the roster with practice squad guys.....
