The NFL Conference Champs Game Day Thread (AKA The Raiders Coach Game)
Here it is fellas, the final game before the big game. Who you got, what is ideal for the Raiders and are there free agents playing that you like for us next year. Popcorn at the ready, beer in your hand. I have some Blue Moon on hand. What are you making to enjoy the game? I am making a simple chicken and rice. Weather here is horrible so I Amazon Fresh'd my menu for the week so that I did not have to rush to the store. Ah the joy of winter.
I guess I will go with:
Pats vs Rams for the final game. But anyone other than the Broncos is absolutely fine. I like Stafford, I don't mind Maye. Vrabel getting a crack at another ring after TN dumped him would be justice in my mind for that bitch Amy Adams. And yea, everyone I know around here hates that....female body part....lol

We get both where I live. Early on this year we got the heavy wet stuff. Snowblower couldn't handle it. It had to be shoveled. That is some hard work. I felt sorry for my wife as I watched her.Willmark wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 7:27 am Thought about this further so it should help, just my driveway:
1 foot of snow (rounding as the snowfall was likely higher)
Driveway: 115 feet long by 20 feet wide that’s 2600
Cubic feet of snow or for those landscaper types
85 cubic yards.
Now here is where it gets interesting, where @chucker lives it’s likely far more, as he noted 29 feet on average. All snow is not the same and he lives near a ski resort its likely that light fluffy stuff.
Us? It’s that heavy moisture laden stuff. Average snow is about 15-20 lbs per cubic feet. The heavy, moisture laden + lake effect snow? Heavy is 20-30 lbs per cubic foot. Our snow is “wet”, Lake Ontario hasn’t frozen in recorded history (it came close a few years back when the rest of the Great Lakes did). It’s like a sponge and when it snows it ejects it into the snow. We do have the light fluffy stuff but not as common in January and February.
In total, plowing out my driveway is the equivalent of moving 34-46,000 lbs of snow on the low side or 46-69,000 on the high side.
Hence why you can’t wait until the end.

Then just go easy on her man. Let her rest for an hour after she's done before she makes you a sandwich.haji81872 wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 8:46 am We get both where I live. I was a strong critic of Brady as broadcaster in his first season, especially since he bumped Greg Olsen from the top chair and Olsen is the best. But Brady was really good yesterday - definitely the best game I've seen him call. It turns out that his psycho work ethic translates to more than just playing QB.

We have to be good enough to play the top game on Fox.rich72 wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 12:52 am I would like to see Tom Brady call the Raiders games, that would be pretty cool and at times hilarious.
Anyone taking bets on that one?

She needs to time her serving her man and her responsibility to clear that driveway. It is a time management thing. Dear god, do I have to spoon feed the woman?Oaktown Superman wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 2:51 pm But then the bologna goes to room temp, and we can’t have that, now can we?

Thank her kindly for the sammich then kindly remind her of her duties of shoveling the driveway. Gotta be nice to them who cook for us, and it pays to be polite as well.Attyla wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 3:47 pm She needs to time her serving her man and her responsibility to clear that driveway. I was as well but he has really grown into the job. I enjoy his insight.chucker wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 11:07 am I was a strong critic of Brady as broadcaster in his first season, especially since he bumped Greg Olsen from the top chair and Olsen is the best.
