The NFL Conference Champs Game Day Thread (AKA The Raiders Coach Game)
Here it is fellas, the final game before the big game. Who you got, what is ideal for the Raiders and are there free agents playing that you like for us next year. Popcorn at the ready, beer in your hand. I have some Blue Moon on hand. What are you making to enjoy the game? I am making a simple chicken and rice. Weather here is horrible so I Amazon Fresh'd my menu for the week so that I did not have to rush to the store. Ah the joy of winter.
I guess I will go with:
Pats vs Rams for the final game. But anyone other than the Broncos is absolutely fine. I like Stafford, I don't mind Maye. Vrabel getting a crack at another ring after TN dumped him would be justice in my mind for that bitch Amy Adams. And yea, everyone I know around here hates that....female body part....lol

Posted this in the wrong thread..
If Kubiak get hired, please do not bring Woolen on defense if he’s a FA. Dumbass just gave the Rams 7 points and momentum when they stopped them on 4th and 12..

when you're used to the snow, you just learn to deal with it. It's f[raiders_icon]cked in places like Nashville getting a dump. Even the trees can't deal with it, because they haven't grown in a snow environment and 30 year old trees just snap when they finally get a snow and ice load.Willmark wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:14 pm Western NY. As WesterNYRAIDER can attest here it’s a bit much at the end of the Great Lakes. About 2 miles from the south shore of Lake Ontario also means 1-6” extra of lake effect on top of the snow storm.

You just deal with it. We do get some melting and some rains in the winter, which knocks the snow down. You'd deal with it too, if you lived in such a place. We deal with the things we need to deal with. Well, the Raiders don't, but most people do.pfish57 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:15 pm How do you guys deal with that? What is your utility bill per month? I hate winter in Alabama, and we never get measurable snow but every other year lol

Do you like burn wood to stay warm or rely on electricity & gas? I can't imagine what that would cost here??chucker wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:20 pm You just deal with it. I don't have a wood stove now, but I've had houses with wood stoves and it helps. But with just gas and electric it's under $200 a month in the worst months.pfish57 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:24 pm Do you like burn wood to stay warm or rely on electricity & gas? Electric and gas here. Not as much chucker for snow we average around 90 inches a year here (so about 7.5 feet).pfish57 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:24 pm Do you like burn wood to stay warm or rely on electricity & gas? I can't imagine what that would cost here??
As far as get around? That’s why my four wheel drive truck is for.
