I’m finding a lot of the discussion at this forum the last couple weeks to be very good. Calm, collected, thoughtful, with an understanding of football. Now,let’s build an offensive line.

We have our outliers and town drunks, but this is by far the most intelligent dialed-in collection of Raider fans found on the ol interweb. That includes most podcasters and Raider “journalists”. Wisest as well, but then I’m pretty sure no other place on the ol interweb skews as greybeard as all of us old codgers.

I’ve still got about 5% to 8% of me scared that the Raiders could f[raiders_icon]ck even this most obvious set up, but it would seem that we’ve nearly stumbled ass over tea kettle into Valhalla with Mendoza.

oh god, not the last three natty's... it's almost like the SEC didn't dominate the sport for two straight decades.

it's a level playing field now, but the SEC isn't fading into obscurity. It's still the best conference from top to bottom in almost every sport, but nice try...

If you get pickier, I noticed holding on two of Miamis TDs that did directly affect the ability of a would be tackler.

Yeah, I know it's probably paranoia but I found myself wondering last night if the network might be worried about viewers if Indiana threw another blowout. But there was quite a difference in the 1st half vs the 2nd so I though to myself that they must be telling themselves, "Hey, we gotta pay off the Refs to make this game competetive again so that people will still watch it".

Again, I know, ............that manic paranoia thingy.

The SEC benefits from pre season rankings. If you eliminate pre season rankings until say, a month into the season, watch the SEC tank. A 4 star in the portal transfers to an SEC team, he keeps the 4 star rating or even jumps up. That same player goes to any other conference and they usually somehow drop in rating. Funny how that works. Things like that go into those pesky pre season rankings also. With a more level playing field the SEC is getting dragged. Everybody sees it. No need to argue it
