I'm treating this as a playoff game lol...my daughter who has become a true fan of the Raiders and unfortunately she's becoming as fanatic as I am, is coming over and im cooking up some ribeyes and baked potatoes and asparagus. Gonna make some old fashioned drinks with Whiskey Pig. Finish off with my wife's homemade peach cobbler

Reports from last offseason had McDaniel losing the locker room. That’s concerning. I don’t think it’s a coincidence the 2 they were talking about meeting with are east coast coaches and fulfill the Rooney rule. Zoom interviews are limited to 3 hours so I imagine this wouldn’t be a crazy long time to have an in person interview.LayneStaley wrote: Sun Jan 18, 2026 11:30 pm If true it seems like anyone they would spend 4 hrs watching a game with would be pretty high on the wish list. Is there a McDaniel connection to anyone in our building?

From what I've seen, there have been a lot of "articles", which to me, all seem purely coincidental. They imply that there must be some significance between the Raiders' previously scheduled meeting with McDaniel and the National Championship game being played on the same day.
McDaniel set to meet with the Raiders just hours before the big game.

Where did you hear that ? That would be some good info to acquireALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Sun Jan 18, 2026 8:18 pm Does anyone know who the potential coaches are who will be watching the game with Spytek. My understanding is that he and Brady invited a few of the coaching candidates to attend the game with them..McDaniel?

I haven't seen anything that indicates that any coaches are watching the game with Spytek and Brady. If someone has a link I'd love to see it.... TIA

Sounds like they have a suite and have invited potential coaching candidates per Mitchell Renz..chucker wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:01 am I haven't seen anything that indicates that any coaches are watching the game with Spytek and Brady. If someone has a link I'd love to see it.... TIA

Thanks, I guess it's possible, but I'll hold off on truly believing it until it's reported by someone other than Renz. It would be pretty strange to potentially have multiple HC candidates in a suite together, and you'd better have the Rooney guys there or prepare to get raked over the coals. We'll certainly find out for sure because there are going to be cameras on them.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:14 am Sounds like they have a suite and have invited potential coaching candidates per Mitchell Renz..

Indiana needs to not play Mendoza in order to be considerate of the Raiders' future.

The way Indiana is playing. One would think they win by double sighted but that is why they play the game.
Also Miami is literally playing in their home stadium. Granted Hard Rock ain’t the Orange Bowl the Hurricanes are sleeping in their own beds.

Just please to G*d Fernando DON"T scramble. Don't get hurt.
In fact, leave the game at halftime.

Mendoza is about to go off and win this game with ease. He's playing in his hometown against the hometown team... he's going to show out. guaranteed.

Pete Thamel from ESPN is reporting it too that doesn't make any difference to me, guess we'll have to wait and see.chucker wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:22 am Thanks, I guess it's possible, but I'll hold off on truly believing it until it's reported by someone other than Renz. It would be so nice if Mendoza had the best qb game in college playoff history tonight. It would help the coach search and definitely keep me excited for/during the offseason.
