We absolutely need this loss. I am not going to figure it out or research the exact effect, but one win takes away Mendoza and Moore and two wins takes away the best 2-3 defenders.

I don't see how we lose this one. I watched the Giants play yesterday and it looked like a mirror image of us but maybe a hair worse. It was all there: bad running game, allowing the other team to convert on third and long, constant pressure on the QB, etc.

We'll also beat the Chiefs. We've got an illustrious track record of losing to backup QBs, but at this point it looks like KC doesn't even have a QB. That doesn't mean we can't lose, but pulling it off is going to be difficult. We end with four wins and another draft goes down the shitter.

I don't see how we end up losing the next two. The players and coaches are all trying to keep their jobs. No player is out there thinking they need to tank so that the team I'm not on anymore can be more successful in the future. It's not going to happen.

The one good thing about dropping out of the #1 or #2 position is that the staff will have to focus on who the BPA is with respect to need. We can likely draft the best OT in round 1 and in round 2, the best OG, etc.

The unfortunate reality of the NFL is that without a star QB you're not going anywhere. The next best thing is building a competitive team with a puncher's chance to get into the postseason and pull off an upset or two. That's the position we're in and will likely remain in.

Get rid of the privilege granting QBs the chickenshit right to throw the ball away like it was prior to 1993, and it would balance things out. But that's not going to happen, so all but 3-5 teams are relegated to shit status.

Mark is too dumb to get anything. Why would Pete tank? If he wins 2, he gets to be HC next year(nobody will want this job), gets his kid another year of pay, then he will get to cut JPJ & he gets another year of his BFF Geno.

Totally agree but if we end up winning one or both it would not shock me even a little if they then give away much needed draft capital to move up to what is very reachable.
