Gruden's Glossary

Unread post by rcraider »

For football junkies, pretty fascinating stuff. Say what you will about Gruden, but he's an encyclopedia of football knowledge and his passion is unmatched.

And Hondo Carpenter put an interesting tweet about doing an AL Davis…fire Pete Carroll at the end of the season and with the raiders pretty much having one of the two spots in the draft; re-hire Jon Gruden and draft Mendoza and also hire Derek Carr to come back and play for a year and start at QB while Mendoza sit on bench for year to learn…

I enjoy Gruden's perspective. He is a better as an entertainer than coach at this point of his career. I am glad he is still staying close to the game. He once listed Michigan as his dream job after Gary Faust replaced Dan Devine at Notre Dame and fired Gruden's dad.

Maybe there is a fit. He would be a great recruiter, provided he could maintain the energy for it his age.

mine vanished, zero on line presence. but that had nothing to do with me, she was just a very private person. Darlene was one of a kind.

I thought the postgame pressers were #1 in my “No f[raiders_icon]cking Way Will I Watch That Shit” list, but this is by far the winner winner chicken dinner. Honestly, you should be arrested for spreading that around.

Where did you hear this? What is your source?

That would not have happened. The Colts know that Carr was never released so they would have reached out to the Saints, not Carr.

And since Carr has not signed his retirement paperwork, any contact with him regarding going to another team would be considered tampering.

He can’t sign the paperwork because his shoulder is torn to shreds and needs surgery

Or so I heard before he quit
