There is no guarantee Mendoza comes out there year. I think he will, he probably should as his stock has skyrocketed this year. He was not even considered a top 10 guy at the beginning of the year as there were "sure fire" franchise guys ahead of him but all of them have fallen by the wayside. But he has eligibility left so you never know, especially with games left on his schedule. They are puff games but that does not matter, he needs to finish strong.DanKD wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 9:15 am Stop dicking around and lose out and do what you need to get Mendoza

Will Pete do the right thing and play Grant and Rogers at some point to see what we have? Capps is not good and is not a solution going forward. Time to test Rogers at guard for JPJ.

Don't think it will be a big deal to our OL coach who kept pulling him out of games.

Mendoza's stock is up and its not getting any higher- why stay and hurt your draft stock. He is guaranteed to be one of the 1st 2 (or 3) QBs off the board. If he stays in school, he could get injured or end up like Matt Lenheirt. Absolutely asinine to stay in school when you're a top pick in the draft.Attyla wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 9:46 am There is no guarantee Mendoza comes out there year. Oh I agree, problem is, he has 2 more regular season games and then the playoffs. Anything can happen during that time. He has not really played that strong a schedule and the playoffs are going to be much harder. If he has bad games under those conditions, his stock could fall enough to make another year a possibility. Remember, it has only been two month ago that he was not even mentioned as a top QB prospect. The top guys tanked and he did well. Hell, before the season really got started Nussmeier was widely considered a top 5 QB for the draft, now there are those who have him falling to day 3.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 10:57 am Mendoza's stock is up and its not getting any higher- why stay and hurt your draft stock. Mendoza declaring for the 2026 NFL draft may come down to a couple of things . . .
- Indiana winning the National Championship
- If they don't, is the team capable of getting there in 2026
- Who holds the number 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft and does Mendoza want to play for them

Cam Ward got almost 50 million dollars being the number 1 pick; Mendoza going to get that or a bit more….why would you stay in college another year in which an injury or a bad year could ruin it for you

he won't as it stands now, but that number could change dramatically based on future performance.SuperRaider wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 1:41 pm Cam Ward got almost 50 million dollars being the number 1 pick; Mendoza going to get that or a bit more….why would you stay in college another year in which an injury or a bad year could ruin it for you

99% Mendoza comes out as long as he continues to be the consensus #1. Moore and Simpson seem really iffy to come out and likely stay in school

Thing about Mendoza is he's a financial guy majoring in business and real estate. Would think whoever ends up with a top pick in this next draft might sway him because of location (access to high financial areas like New York and such).
