Post Game Thread - Raiders lose a Close one in OT vs Jags

Not sure how I feel about this one. The losses tend to blend into each these days but at least they had some fight.

Dude he put forth more effort than 3/4 of the D all game long & you are crucifying him for one fcking play??? He is our best D lineman!!!! Go watch the tape.

He had 5 tackles. And blew a critical tackle with the game on the line. He needs to use his head.

It was not his best game but he was disrupting their offense pretty regularly. His numbers do not reflect the amount of times he was forcing their play to redirect. And they were smart, almost all their plays were to the far side away from him when they ran or rolled outside.

I did have one question though, he seemed to line up a bit wider than usual a few times making his distance to the QB longer which made little sense to me.

I just hate when players don't play smart. Banging guys maybe fun, but wrapping guys is how you need to play. I also hate dummies who go out of bounds when you need to keep the clock moving. Not running the clock down when you need to bleed time off the clock, And the supreme dummy who drops the ball entering the end zone.

One of the dumbest actions in my opinion was by Devin White with the slap in the 4th quarter that caused us 15 yards and ultimately a Tuten TD. Ridiculous.

Mayer with the bonehead not stepping up to make the catch was right up there. You don't sit on the route. Not on a short ball like that.

Oh and early on with Meyers alligator arming a couple balls that should have been caught.

Oh and Chip abandoning the run.

And us not putting a body on Etienne all day.

It all comes down to this for me. If you were screaming and hollering for Pierce to be fired then you have to be on the same boat for Carrol. He somehow found a way to be equally as bad if not worse.

Personally I'd of fired him after the KC game.

Both should be one-and-done.

Saw a lot of good. Obviously missing Bowers was kind of big for us. Geno looked better. Our line is still terrible but Geno's movement kept the sacks to a minimum. Still no push on run plays.

Right play call at the end and had two guys wide open. Unfortunate.

Biggest blow was Carlson missing that extra point. He hits that, we hit the XP at the end and we win.

Also a guy hitting a 68 yard field goal before half is ridiculous.

Tough way to lose, but at least it was a fun and competitive game.

I just posted same thing in Geno thread. The amount of times I've watched him not see the field JUST this year is baffling. He's fcking terrible.

That did not happen on that play. it was quick strike to Mayer and Mayer should have stepped toward the ball and that would have been that on that play. I am not going to defend players when they don't deserve it, but on that play it was a good and accurate throw and if Mayer steps toward the ball he has a chance to make the defender whiff and could have gotten about 7-10 yards.

And a stupid personal foul call that negated a huge TFL by Pola-Mao. I swear, the moment a guy signs a contract with the Raiders, their FB IQ drops 122 points. Jerry Tillery went stupid in that loss to the Rams after Maxx sacked Mayfield. Bill Callihan’s comment rings true to this day. As does Marty Schottenheimer’s.

He already was jumping with his hands up on the initial pump. If we would have just released it right away it would have still knocked it down.

I understand what you are saying but Pierce was a horrible emotional hire and has zero track record of success. Pete has been successful most everywhere he has been.
