At least, we would have Civil War jokes.

I agree with this, which is pretty damning really.DanKD wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 9:14 am Two things can be true.
1. Aidan should not be an NFL starting QB due to his athletic and speed of processing limitations.
2. He is better than what Geno has showed and at least can run the offense and not throw it to the other team non stop.

In 20 career games played, Aidan has 11 INTs and 6 fumbles (4 lost). Let's not act like he isn't a turnover machine also. He's not even backup worthy.DanKD wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 9:14 am Two things can be true.

so at a clip of about 8 a season if you projected it out. The fumbles are pretty damning for sure.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 9:29 am In 20 career games played, Aidan has 11 INTs and 6 fumbles (4 lost). Let's not act like he isn't a turnover machine also. He's not even backup worthy.

And he can go an entire quarter and not completely a pass! Or was it a half? He'll if I remember. All the horrid performances just mix together at this pointBoKnows81 wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 9:29 am In 20 career games played, Aidan has 11 INTs and 6 fumbles (4 lost). That was against KC. No pass completions after the first quarter. He threw for a robust 62 yards. He also lost against KC when he had the game of his life (fumbled ball at end of game). Lets not forget he had inflated games against teams that were laying down (rightfully so) for draft position at the end of the season. The kid has done shit.Hellbound wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 10:20 am And he can go an entire quarter and not completely a pass! Or was it a half? He'll if I remember. As @Attyla noted he has issues. The main problem is listening to someone who has no idea what he’s talking about hype him up “Demi-god” was used. Now mind you when you look into AOC12 stats? The SD game skews his stats, about 1/5 of his career touchdowns came from that game. 4 TDS in one game out of 20 career TDs.
In most games he has 1-2 about the same rate as Carr in a sense.
It’s not so much anyone really likes him outside of one poster. It’s more that he has flaws that if he could correct he could be decent. I just don’t see it happening though.

What we are saying is he’s no world beater and needs to be upgraded moving forward. But in the QB room, he’s the best of the lot. And that’s sad. He can play pretty good then look crappy. He is the epitome of a career backup. Can give you limited success, but long term, he won’t take you very far.RI RAIDER wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 8:11 am Honest question for the AOC crowd. Has his play improved? Has he finally figured out pocket awareness? Has he learned to use his progressions? Does he know how to scan the field? Has he removed the hot steamer from his pants? There is nothing I would love more than for this kid to be the guy (especially since he is on a rookie contract). I had high hopes for him and expected improvement since he had a camp where he was the starter. I just do not see it. At best, he is a poor mans backup. Has he had some moments? Sure he has just like Minshew had the first couple of games of last season. Unfortunately, a couple of moments means dick.

No, AOC's flaw is that he plays on the worst team in the NFL, and in spite of that, he gives that team twice as good a chance to win every Sunday. It’s more that he has flaws that if he could correct he could be decent. I just don’t see it happening though.

You do not happen to be Aidan O'Connell in the flesh do you?mranquales wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 4:42 pm This is your whole style: "Yeah, not really. But maybe..."
You're bogus as hell. Just because you mastered the art of 'coach speak' doesn't make you intelligent.
"Hey guys, I think if we spend a top 5 pick on QB we can be a better team!"
No shit! You're the Raiderstation version of Dr. Phil.
The fact they remember every. little. thing. I post that they think I'm wrong about (I'm not), but then conveniently ignore the grand majority of the times I've hit it out the park (AP, Minshew, Jacobs, Ellis, Mack, Cooper) should tell you everything you need to know about who I'm dealing with.
I especially love the gaslighting. 'He's never right about ANYTHING', 'he's just a troll', ect. Yet I was the only person stating (correctly) that Minshew was trash day one and our season last year would be lost.
That literally happened just last year yet these groupies claim I've never been right about anything.
But their memory is incredible from something I stated 4 years ago.

Geno Smith is a starter. AOC is better than Geno Smith, but AOC isn't a starter. Make it make sense.
I applaud your steadfast belief in the kid however misguided that belief may be. Bruce Gradkowski had his believers as did Matt McGloin. So did Billy Joe Hobert and Donald Hollas for the matter.
Patron Saint of the Ham and Egg's QB.

We are definitely in the QB market whether it be free agency or draft. Unless Carroll is delusional about the talent in the current roomrich72 wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 5:49 pm If we have to go back to AOC, that means we are in the QB market come draft time.

Very apt with the above “commentary”, such as it is.
